Btw, the installer was corrected yesterday late morning for a problem registering WideFS with a different name and/or email to the FSUIPC6 registration. If you downloaded before this, maybe download the latest installer and try again. If you still have issues, I first need to know what the pop-ups say AFTER you click the Register button.

What actually happens when you click the Register button in the installer? If you are registering FSUIPC6 and WideFS, you should see two popups, one for each registration, telling you if the registration was successful or not. What do you see?

What result? What actually happens when you press the Register button? Does it say that the registration is successful or not?

Yes, that log shows: 35609 Loaded PFCcom64.DLL okay! so looks like the problem is in your configuration. Was it working with FSUIPC5 (same config)? Maybe you can post your PFCcom64.ini. Screenshots are pretty useless, difficult to read due to the resolution (or my eyesight!).

Btw, you should update your Explorer settings so that you can see hidden file types - difficult to know what files you have from that screenshot. Do you have a PFCcom64.ini file in the same directory? It may be that its loaded (check your log, as advised earlier) but not configured correctly so cannot connect to your device.

I don't have any PFC devices, but if I drop the PFCcom64.dll into my installation directory, I see the "Loaded PFCcom64.DLL okay!" message in the log file...

Can you check or post your log file - are there any message relating to the PFCcom64.dll? i.e. something like PFCcom64.DLL failed to link correctly or Loaded PFCcom64.DLL okay! ?

You could also try looking at the installation guide which will tell you where things are installed!

No, don't do that! Where is your FSUIPC6 installed? Is it installed into C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Modules? The Modules folder is no longer the default installation path, and in fact it is recommended to install outside of your P3D directory. Check where you have FSUIPC6 installed, and make sue that the PFCcom64.dll is in the same folder. John P.S. If you didn't change the default installation path, it will be installed alongside the add-on.xml file, in your Documents folder under Prepar3d v4 Add-ons\FSUIPC6.

This problem has been fixed in the attached dll which will be released shortly: FSUIPC6.dll

Registration keys for FSUIPC5 are not valid for FSUIPC6, but WideFS7 keys are still valid with FSUIPC6. Please see here: Registration occurs at the last stage of installation. Enter your details there and click the 'Register' button to generate your key file. But as I said, your FSUIPC5 key is not valid. John

It is in the same folder as the flight sim. If you open the FSUIPC UI in the sim, there is a button in the logging tab that will open an Explorer window showing you the contents of the Modules folder. You are also hijacking an unrelated thread. Please don't do this. John

There is currently a problem with the lua config path that I am looking into. A fix should be provided soon (hopefully later today but maybe tomorrow). In the mean-time, you could re-install FSUIPC6 in the old location, in a folder called Modules under your P3Dv5 directory (i.e. in E:\prepar3d\p3dv5\modules). John

As Pete says, change logs are simple text files containing updates between incremental releases, and there is none for this release as its a first major release. The change history sonce FSUIPC5 is maintained in the FSUIPC History document, which should be available in your FSUIPC6 documents folder (under your windows Documents directory). John

You register in the installer. After installation, there should be a screen for your registration details. You have to enter your details here and click the 'Register' button. You should then get a pop-up telling you if the registration was successful or not. If successful, a key file will be generated. Did you try this? What happens when you click the 'Register' button?

It will be in the folder that you selected during the installation process. If you did not change the default location (and this is a fresh install), it will be in the same location as the add-on.xml, under your windows Documents folder under Prepar3D v5 Add-ons\FSUIPC6. The FSUIPC documentation is also installed under your windows Documents folder. Please see the installation guide.

Provide more information! What happens when you run the installer? Do you have an installation log (it will be in folder you selected for installation and in the folder from where you ran the installer)? If so, please attach so I can take a look. John

I already answered your questions when you posted in another thread. To repeat: You install FSUIPC4 in the sim, and you can install before or after you install your 737NG. Then take a look at the provided documents to see the extra facilities provided by registration to determine if you would like to purchase a license or not (as no refunds are given). John
