  1. The key for those details validates ok, so I don't understand your issue. I have sent you a PM. John
  2. The installation folder, yes. Thats one way. Or if you want it to auto-start, you can add it to the [Auto] section of your FSUIPC7.ini (or the same in a profile), like so: I've already seen that. As I said, better to run FSUIPC7 and show me your .log, .ini and Jotscan.csv files. However, if HidScanner thinks its a mouse, I presume so will FSUIPC7 and so you will not see it.
  3. No success with uninstalling? Why - what does this mean? Did you get an error? What did it fail to uninstall? Do you have an uninstall log? Have you managed to register or not? I really can't help you if you do not provide the required information.
  4. As I said, I'll take a look at this when time permits. But it is low priority. There is really little point in having FSUIPC running without the FS. You should start/stop FSUIPC7 with the FS. The latest installer creates a shortcut item to start them together, and you can now exit MSFS and FSUIPC from within FSUIPC. John
  5. Can you see the HidDemo file under [LuaFiles]? it should be 1=Lua HidDemo i.e. a capital L, but I'm not sure that makes a difference without checking - please try it, and check log to see if its started. Otherwise, please attach your .ini and .log and I'll take a look. John
  6. Please let me know your order number and email address and I will check it for you. You can PM me the details if you don't want to post publicly. Please do NOT post your key. No idea what that is. You should use the provided uninstaller. But, no need to uninstall unless you want to remove FSUIPC7. The installer will automatically remove the oldversion when updating. John
  7. Hi Charles, as Roman has said, using L:Vars would be the best solution if such lvars are available. Especially as Roman has offered to do this for you! Note also though that you could also simulate the mouse click in the UI to activate these functions by using the mouse macro facilities. Please see the User guide on how to use this facility (but lvars are preferred!). Cheers, John @spokes2112 And thanks for your generous offer!
  8. @danewatson Please see the provided README.txt: John
  9. Hi Michael, You are using an old version of FSUIPC7 - please update. The 'Start' menu is now 'MSFS' in the released version, and there is an additional 'Exit' option. I do not know what you mean by 'nothing previously selected is working'? However, note that if you were using the beta license, this has now expired. John
  10. This is not the 'intended' method. It is just another method provided if you so wish to use it. It opens a command prompt for you when using the desktop link? That's very strange. You get the command prompt if you run the .bat file directly, but using the created desktop shortcut should omit this command prompt. I don't know why this isn't working for you. To remove the splash screen (or text display), just open and edit the MSFSwithFSUIPC7.bat file located in your installation folder. It should be pretty easy to adjust to your needs. I'll add some flags and simple instructions on how yo adjust to run without the text and/or splash screen in the next installer update. I think I'll also add an FSUIPC7 ini parameter to skip the FSUIPC7 splash as well if needed. Note the splash was added as there is around a 30 second delay when starting MSFS until any window appears. As I said, this shouldn't happen when starting using the link. It is a known issue with windows bat files, with using a link to start the bat one way around this. In no way does installing FSUIPC7 interfere with any previous methods you use to start MSFS. You can continue to start it how you previously did, and start FSUIPC7 however you wish. You can easily create a shortcut to start FSUIPC7 (only) and drag it to the desktop, or add a windows menu entry item if so required (it pretty straight-forward to do this - try google). I could add another option to do this in the installer I guess (but it would be pretty low priority!). The question has been asked repeatedly but still no response, that I am aware of, from Asobo on this issue. John
  11. You cannot just change the annotation/comment - the assignment are all sending the same key (K76 or 'L') and the same modifier (10 or ctrl). Change the values to the key and modifier you require - see the advanced user guide for details. Or, you could program the release sending the tab+T in the FSUIPC UI, then duplicate the press assignment and change that to a release.
  12. You are using an unregistered version. You are also using an old version. Please download the latest version. There is still a key file available (in the announcements page) that's valid but only until tomorrow. Licenses went on sale on Thursday.
  13. By using lua. You have to edit the file as described, then place it in your FSUIPC installation folder. Then decide how to activate it - by either assigning to a button or keypress, or adding it the the [Auto] section of your FSUIPC7.ini file so that it is automatically ran.
  14. You will need lua anyway to handle 80 buttons - if it is recognised, you can only handle the first 32 buttons via regular assignments.
  15. I don't know, why don't you try it? The beta license is still valid - until tomorrow! However, if its recognised as a mouse I don't think so, but see how it is recognised by FSUIPC (especially in the Joyscan.csv file).
  16. Yes, so its a sticky button. Its in one state on one press (on_, and a different state on another press (off), so its sends a press event on first press, then a release on second (although the other way around in your log as it was already depressed). Knowing how the button works, you should program it how you want to use it, with the control sent on the press for to change to the state you want when it is depressed/on, and a control sent when it is released to change the state to the state you want when it is off.
  17. They must be exactly as specified in your SimMarket order. Please check and try again, and if you still have an issue let me know your order number and email address and I will check it here. Sorry, but when you 'skip' don't you see a 'Completing FSUIPC7 v7.0.0 Setup' screen, with the option to create a shortcut. That message is displayed when you start the installer, in the case that you already have FSUIPC7 installed. Did you see the README.txt, and the Installation and Registration guide (in the same folder as the installer)? The documentation (including User guide) is installed under your windows Documents folder, in an FSUIPC7 sub-folder.
  18. Sounds like you are trying to program to a "sticky button", i.e. one that sends a key press when you first press, then a release when you press it again (i.e. like an on/off.. You can test what it seeing and sending by activating logging for events and buttons & keypresses. See what that looks like and compare the events to when you control on screen using the mouse.
  19. Ok, thanks for reporting back.
  20. Have you tried also sending the command on the button release (2nd lower dropdown in the assignments panel) as well?
  21. If the key file is missing, you did not click the 'Register' button. You need to do this to generate the key file, and you will get a pop-up message telling you if the license is valid or not. The offset status spreadsheet is not installed by the installer as this is a temporary document. You should manually copy it from the extracted zip folder if you want to keep it. The installer installs fsuipc in the folder you selected, which is C:\FSUIPC7 (the default location). Your install log shows that all documents were correctly installed in the right location: Are you saying the documentation isn't there? I don't know why are complaining so much. Try reading the installation and registration guide for installation and registration instructions, everything is explained there. John
  22. Hi Gary, that was the post for the beta releases. It makes no mention of transferring licenses from P3D, and only contains license information on the time-limited licenses I provided for FSUIPC7 during the beta test phase. The last beta license I provided (available on that page) is valid until today, so will expire tomorrow.
  23. Could you please elaborate? What do you mean by 'no longer operational'? What has this got to do with key presses?
  24. Those controls do work on the Boing 787 - for a discussion on the use of the _SLOT_INDEX_ control, see this old post: Maybe its just not working in the A320Neo?
  25. I have explained this so many times now - please read my previous post. Every version of FSUIPC requires a different license. Any discount for holders of other versions is clearly explained on the product sales page. @bjratchf Please let me know your order number and email address. You can PM me them if you don't want to post them publicly. Do NOT post your key.
