  1. Mauro said he would be happy to test stuff so I'm sure he wouldn't mind helping, thanks Pete.
  2. I use the M-panel in combination with the MCP so this issue doesn't really cause me any problems and many of the aircraft I use still use the default autopilot and it doesn't cause any problems in those aircraft for me. I do tend to use the M-panel more often on its own when flying small GA aircraft and just use the buttons on the MCP for switching things on and off, in this situation the M-panel works very well. To be honest if people want to fly advanced aircraft more often than not then I think the MCP is definitely a better purchase for them anyway. I will discuss it with the dev when I see him at the show though.
  3. Please still contact them and explain as best you can what the problem is, then hopefully he will get chance to look into it a little before he leaves Korea for the UK.
  4. It doesn't effect the MCP Combi at all, its only an issue with the M-panel and only with aircraft that use advanced custom auto pilots that make many changes to the VS. If it does require a firmware update rather than a SerialFP2 software update then you are stuck as VRI has already said in no uncertain terms that they cannot have users updating firmware in the field because the risk of bricked hardware is very high. I'm going to the AstrasimExpo at RAF Cosford later this month and the software developer for VRI will be there so I will be able to speak to him in person, I'll have a chat with him and see if anything can be done. Will you be going Pete?
  5. Just press yes and it will run normally, the bug is in FSX not FSUIPC :wink:
  6. You can use one mouse and keyboard across many computers with something called "Input Director" best of all it's free too. You literally move your mouse off the edge of the screen and then it automatically appears on the next computer across the network and then controls it till you move the mouse pointer back again. It acts a bit like an extended desktop, its very clever.
  7. If that's the full contents of the dll.xml then its corrupted, the end is missing i.e. ;
  8. I believe Pete did already answer your question, its not possible without some extensive hacking, It simply isn't worth the outlay in time and headaches for the tiny return in feature. You could use more layers immediately next to another one to get an approximation of the thickness you need.
  9. Have you calibrated these axes in FSUIPC, if you have not then you are wasting your time regardless of whether you have assigned them direct in FSUIPC or through FS itself.
  10. Problems like that with the Mustang are a sure sign that the FSX install is broken or that SP2 isn't installed at all.
  11. 4.57 isn't the current version for FSX either, 4.60 is. You can get the latest installer versions at the address below. Http://www.schiratti.com/dowson
  12. Contact customer support (raise a ticket) at Sim-Market and explain the mistake you made, they should be able to help you especially when they can see you already purchased the FS9 version in the past.
  13. Have you tried these keyboard short cuts with your actual keyboard to see if they do indeed do what you expect them to do.
  14. You need to raise a support ticket with Sim-Market, you are the second person in a week to visit the forum and comment that they haven't got a key in their "my products" page at Sim-Market. They never email the keys to the customer because email is not as secure method of communication, it is very easy to intercept an email in transit.
  15. Ah I didn't know that!! Sorry I'll remember that for the future.
  16. I hope FSUIPC 4.2 is a typo, if it's not then you are about 3 years out of date. Pete is away till Monday but I can tell you now he wont offer support to anyone using software that is 3 years out of date. Please see the post below to get the latest version of FSUIPC, you will need to download the 4.6 installer first then apply the interim update afterwards if you wish. http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=74352 I'm glad you sorted your problem out though :D
  17. Have you set up FSUIPC to work with VRinsight's hardware? See "APPENDIX 3: Handling VRInsight devices in FSUIPC4" in the document "FSUIPC4 for Advanced Users.pdf" if you have yet to set it up. Once set up go to the buttons and keys tab in FSUIPC. 1) Press the button on the VRI hardware you want to assign a key press too, it should appear in these boxes. 2) Tick the box "select for key press" 3) Press the "set" button 4) Now press the keyboard keys you want to be sent when you press this particular button on your device, they will appear in this box. Press OK to complete or press another VRI button and repeat from step 1 to assign key presses to another button. Due to the way the buttons work on the VRI devices you will also have to repeat your key assignments in the lower boxes labelled "Press the keys to be sent when you release this button", if you don't you will only get an action for every other button press you make on the VRI device.
  18. Check your PC clock is set correctly, if your time and date is set to a time before you bought the key then it will look invalid.
  19. Is simflight listed as one of the untrusted certificates? Why are you trying to install version 4.57 over version 4.6? Please download the latest installer and reinstall again, details can be found here along with all the other updates Pete makes http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=74352 You appear to have a more serious underlying problem though, if it still doesn't work after the reinstall of the latest version of FSUIPC it would seem your simconnect side by side system is not installed correctly. The only way to fix it 100% of the time is to completely reinstall your OS and programs, and that includes wiping the OS drive completely clean to be absolutely certain, do not attempt to use with Windows repair option it is fundamentally flawed and wont fix the problem most of the time, if anything it will create more problems. The same is true of the FSX repair option too, that is pretty much guaranteed to irreparably ruin the install and is really not recommended.
  20. Just in case you missed it Roger I thought I would bring it to your attention that Pete is away till July 5th as he announced at the top of the forum.
  21. You will have to raise a support ticket with Sim-Market then as it appears to be a fault I think.
  22. Click on the "My Products" link which is on the right hand side of the Sim-market web-page, then you should see a list of recent purchases. Click on 'PETE DOWSON - FSUIPC4' and this will take you to the page with the registration key, please do not confuse this with the PayPal verification number, they are not the same thing. The FSUIPC product key should be in a text box near the top of the page along with your name and email address too. Like this;
  23. Sim-market do not send keys in emails because email isn't a secure method of communication, anyone can intercept email. Log into your Sim-market account then click on the my products button to see a list of your purchases, then click on FSUIPC and you will see your key.
  24. You need to purchase a new license for FSUIPC4, it has been completely rewritten so we can't expect Pete to give it away for free. You can use the FSUIPC3 registration for the FS9 version though, the licence is registered to you not your hardware, so moving it with hardware upgrades is not a problem.
