Hi Does anybody know where i could find lsalt sector overlays for all the sectors included in tracon 2012, i am also looking for the lsalt data for the ksan sector addon for tracon 2012. I wonder why that important info was not included, Surely that is critical info for a tracon controller, thanks in advance

Hello Not sure if anybody may know the answer to this but because there is absolutely no KSAN sector user documentation provided with the KSAN addon for Tracon 2012 from simulated designs I'm not sure if there are sids or stars missing from this addon by Simulated Designs, when you install its necessary to copy and past the KSAN sids / stars data from a provided text file into the default file in Tracon 2012. If you look down the file I have highlighted 4 stars and sids that have no data below data so not sure why there are not active. Its definently not safe, if the landing aircraft has an emergency or undershoots due to pilot error or weather there is a high possibility of a collision Wayne

Yes happened to me, i had to tell my av to ask me each time if i trust the files when installing, should be in your av settings, i think usually its set to automatically removed threats, thats fine but av is not perfect as you have discovered,cheers Wayne

Thanks tpinks it would be interesting say at tist or ksan to have the odd non precision approach traffic or vfr traffic arriving in the pattern from sectors other than direct to final as jets are naturally vectored via their sector by approach to turn onto the ils or even following a star arrival to that point to intetcept the localiser for the active runway, but it would be really could to have the occasional light traffic joining say via downwind entry point or some other point in the circuit, i have asked the developer if this might be possible, the commands seem to be there just not the traffic from that entry point Wayne

Crbascott I read your post again and thought a little further so essentially its just the way the sim is programmed as in real life traffic would come from other sectors and would be vectored to the ils by approach and passed to the tower controller, it will be great in the next version to have traffic on a non precision approach being handed from approach to tower via a pattern entry for the active, this probably only makes sense for smaller airports that handle non precision approach traffic maybe tist and ksan, would add another level of emmersion, thanks for all your help on the forum, cheers Wayne

Hi my point is in my experience so far they only enter from the one sector towards final so always a straight in and not from the opposite direction requiring a pattern entry Wayne

Hi I have not seen any traffic arrive opposite the active runway ksan for example,so far i have only seen traffic sequenced to join final and handed to the tower surely there must be traffic coming from the opposite sector that would join downwind for the active runway, this would offer even more challenge with regards to seperation from traffic on final, if not in this sim perhaps a wishlist item for the next tower sim as well

Yes thats true i was referring to ksan though which is one runway, remembering back to my flying days when landing at my local airport it was common to either hold or approach would request a vector off final and allow the jet traffic to over take and land then the slower traffic either tracked back for a straight in or joined base depending on wake turbulence requirements, i miss those days lol, cheers Wayne
