  1. Hi Shamir:

If you are using Firefox 1.x or 2.x, I had a similar problem last year that baffled me for a while. I solved it by simply doing this:

Tools > Options > Content > Be sure "Load Images Automatically" is checked; mine wasn't because I had forgotten I had turned it off for a particular website one time.

Another possibility in Firefox 1.x is whether you have allowed the browser to load addresses outside that of the main page you are viewing (I forget what the exact title was for this checkbox, but I don't see it in Firefox 2.x).

    Hope this helps!

  2. Hey Chris:

Those were excellent!

One might wonder if Frizois didn't tell us he had slipped away until the last possible moment so that he would have a head start (before we could plan any really major mischievous activities around Emma Field)!

Well, I say better late than never... only 3 days left until the 17th, Guys! :P

  3. who's up for a party @ Fritz's house?

That's the Emma spirit, Shamir!

Hmmm... what mischief can we come up with this time?

Oh, Francois: we promise to be good just like last year when you were gone, so... er, ahh... you don't have to worry about a thing! :P

Have a great time behind the Iron Curtain again, and don't burn the candle at both ends!

  4. Yeah I thought the 150 Aerobat was Spinnable IRL (in Real Life)

that's why I asked if it was in the sim too..

Not that I should be Practicing.

Lest I find myself spinning in DHC-4 Caribou's, C-130 Hercules or Alenia C-27j Spartans.

And if I do end up Spinning my Flying Crates..

all I've got to say is... It's been nice knowing you all, and I hope to get better real soon :P

    Hey Madaz:

The spirit of Emma compels you! The spirit of Emma compels you!

Aerobatics in your type of favorite planes... well, this I just gotta' see! :P

I figure since you managed to show us how you can fly the 'Bou on its nose wheel a while back, its time to add another stunt to the growing list of special stunts which only the zany crowd here at Emma Field should be known for!

C'mon you can do it!!! :!:

(...eagerly looking forward to some screenies on this one too.)

  5. Pups has been a great lover of heavy flame-thrower aircraft for quite some time.

After getting excited by all the creative possibilities he encountered during his multiple beta testing adventures, he finally tried his hand (paw?) at making a "real" Pups Plane using G-Max.

Lets just say the pre-alpha release is in the "very early design concept" stage...!

Hmmm... PMDG: <Pups Manufacturing Dawg Guy?>

  6. Hi Bill:

It looks great, and it seems as though you're really getting quite a good handle on the new scenery techniques for FSX! :D

I sent you an E-Mail, and would be glad to take your new scenery above for a test drive too... 8)

  7. Ian:

    Looks good! :D

Let us know if we can try it out some time in either FS9 or FSX as the placement BGL's should be usable in both (although the FS9 world is a bit out of alignment with the more geo-corrected world of FSX).

    Chris:

Ain't it great to get some use out of our older systems now in FSX?

  8. Hey Chris:

No wonder I'm so full of laughs then... my FSX SP1 test machine is: Athlon 1.4 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 266 MHz FSB, non-defragmented 4-drive 7200 RPM Ultra-ATA RAID 0 striped array, and an ATI AIW X800 XT 256 MB VRAM video card at AGP 4x! :P

I'm actually getting a smooth, nearly stutter-free 15 FPS without any texture or autogen tweaks thus far, running legacy format 10 M and 30 M FST 3rd party terrain mesh at 100% complexity, the maxed out UT-USA FSX port with otherwise default textures at 1 M texture resolution and no AI or significant clouds loaded.

ACES really did an excellent job, and are to be congratulated! :D

  9. Er, it wasn't that bad, was it?

I suppose folk are just too amazed at what they see now. I am certainly a lot happier with FSX now. What a lot of trees we can see! Sooo much fun to fly low level

Ahem... how's about some more screenies of your famous stunt flying on that high-powered system running even better on FSX-SP1?

  10. And the interior of the plane has... you guessed it... "plush" upholstery!

You had me going for a bit before I scrolled down; cracked me up yet again! :!: :P

OK: Pups Perilous Whirlwind Adventure Part ( ? ) ..."The Emma Field Tornado"

Lets see you save the day again!

PS: If it weren't for those clouds, we could get an early glimpse at our gorgeous new mountains from the upcoming Emma Field 2004 Scenery Terrain Enhancement Project (codename: EF-STEP-1!)
