Wanted to use the current schedule creator shown in the forum I know I purchased and at one time believe installed Nyerges Real Traffic Trying to avoid completely reinstalling everything How do I know if Real Traffic is installed already? 707FAN Posted February 12, 2016 Report Share Posted February 12, 2016 Run the program using one of the installed airports such as Miami. Set the time to about 1000 local. That ensures good traffic flow. If the airlines are American, Delta etc, and the aircraft types show 737 etc, then Real Traffic is installed. I revise my Miami schedule file all the time & always checking for new operators, flights etc. Couldn't see the forrest for the trees as they say :cool: bobg921, if you want to make a new schedule file, that more closely resembles a true schedule for a particular airport, download the info from Flight aware. You have to massage it quite a bit in excel but the end results are well worth the work. Also you can learn a lot more tricks in excel this way. Wikipedia is a good source of operators at a particular A/P also the A/P own web site. Passenger flights are relatively easy to find this way but you might need to do some detective work to find the cargo flights. It makes it more interesting if you can add the cargo flights. It's a shame that we can't share schedule.txt files on the forum somewhere. It would be good if some players would volunteer to become the schedule managers for a particular airport and keep the schedule.txt file up to date as best as possible for that airport and publish them on the forum say on a monthly basis. mc1ben Posted May 25, 2016 Report Share Posted May 25, 2016 Just re installed Tower 2011 after my computer crashed. I removed all previous files related to Tower 2011 that were on my computer. I can't get Real Traffic to work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Tower 2011 and the airport add-ons twice including Real Traffic. I can't seem to get it to work correctly. It is installing to the C:\Program Files (x86)\FeelThere\Tower! 2011\Airplanes directory. I don't know if this is the right directory or not, but it appears to be the default. As for the downloads, only Atlanta and JFK ask me if I want to use Real Traffic (Washington Dulles does not), but it still isn't working. Don't know what's going on that is different than before. Salad Posted May 26, 2016 Report Share Posted May 26, 2016 I haven't looked at my directory structure for a while now and I am at work at the moment. I think your schedule should just go into the Tower 2011 directory - not the Airplanes directory. Just try copying and pasting to that folder and give it a shot. mc1ben Posted May 26, 2016 Report Share Posted May 26, 2016 Thanks. Real Traffic automatically downloads the real aircraft into the Airplanes directory. I can't find anything in the Real Traffic program with the schedule. I've tried installing and re-installing Tower!2011 three times along with the Real Traffic add on. No luck. Thanks again. Any other suggestions would be helpful. This is extremely frustrating! It worked before the computer crashed and now it doesn't work right. I understand that this is a newly updated version of Real Traffic. Is it possible that something is wrong with either the installer or with the file that they uploaded to the server? I have tried everything including uninstalling and reinstalling with the same results. I saved the link to the Nyerges Design Real Traffic that I bought when I bought Tower! 2011. I would have thought that the link would take me to the old program..maybe it did not. Everything I have tried fails. All Real Traffic does for me is install the real aircraft types but it makes no changes to the Airlines or schedule. User Account Control (UAC) isn't a problem. I have run both the Tower!2011 and Real Traffic installers as Admin with the same result. Somebody please contact Nyerges Design to check on this issue. Thanks. mc1ben Posted May 26, 2016 Report Share Posted May 26, 2016 (edited) The Tower 2011! folder is not read only. UAC is not a problem with this program. I am able to run the program as an Administrator without problems. I suspect that the Real Traffic program (the updated on available for purchase and download) may be bad. It only loads Aircraft files (the real types of aircraft used by the Airlines) but it doesn't load anything to do with the Airlines or schedule. Thanks for everyone's help. I may contact Nyerges Design to see if they can help since it's there product.
