Because the colour for the normal 737-800 is different than the 737-800 Max, the that's used for each is different. The code for the normal 737-800 is B738 the max versions is B38M

If you want to select 08:00 and actually start around 07:45 or so, you'll need flights at that time in the schedule, specifically a departure.

Well normally there would be flights before the hour in the schedule. In the schedule you posted before you had no other flights other than the one at 01:00 so there was no flight to draw from to start before 08:00. The one you added after MEL, LAX, 744, QF, 557, 07:53, 12:00, 1, QF is an arrival, the sim looks for a departure thus it would still start at 08:00.

I just tested your schedule and I had no issues started at 01:00 and LAX, MEL, 744, QF, 558, 08:10, 01:00, 1, QF showed up just fine started at 08:00 and LAX, JFK, 388, OZ, 255, 12:00, 08:00, 1, OZ, and GLL, LAX, 388, BA, 7, 08:00, 23:00, 1, BA showed up as well.

I'm not sure that's the problem. He mentioned the problem being that when it loads it loads at 08:55 with a flexjet flight..... a GA flight, which is why I said to move the GA schedule.

try moving or renaming the GA file in the KLAX folder... does that solve your issue?

that's odd what time are you trying to use?

if that is from my files that would be coming from the GA file, which is a separate schedule file for GA flights

that information is in the airplanes text file

the file you are changing is in the Xmas folder?? for for you to see the changes in the sim you need to move this edited file into the KLAX folder, However you may want to copy/back-up what is there already.

I believe he is trying to edit the files and make his own custom schedule. It looks like you moved the Xmas schedule folder into your Tower folder(which is fine, doesn't hurt anything) but that's not the location the files are read from, for a KLAX schedule to work it must be the same name as that file and place in the KLAX folder not the Xmas one. So the question is when you are making these changes is that the file name and is that the location(the KLAX folder)?

Woah, sorry for the late reply. I saw this earlier but was doing other things so I didn't respond. I do check the forum from time to time even though I may not post anything. To respond to your question I will say this, I've decided to take a step back from schedule making for a few reasons, including but not limited to Others being more active in creating schedules I never thought that my schedules were all that well-regarded, other than a few people that have made a comment about them in some way As far as Christmas goes I don't have any data to use for LAX or any other airport. However if you sentiment is shared and people would like to see more schedules from me I'll see what I can do.

To be fair that's the reason why there is a ""Let's get a new version of T3D before any more airports are released,"(as you put it,) is because FT have stopped working on the sim(game) as far as the engine is concerned, meaning there won't be any new features, or bug fixes in the current version. We have to wait for the new version to get new features etc. We are only going to be getting new airports in this version.

I don't have it so I can't comment too much but both the 738 and 73H point to B738 and it's that B738 code that the textures point too, unless that changed(not sure why that would change.) AAL example 738 and 73H both have colour because they both point to B738_aa.jpg in the manifest, and the log shows, Airplane tex found: B738_aa

The 73H and the 738 both point to B738 in the airplanes file, B738 is what would be used for real colour. The difference between the two is that the 73H has winglets and the 738 does not.

You don't need Excel or Open Office, or even Libre Office(another free alternative) though one of those would make it easier. I use to do it by hand, now with some help I developed my own system in Excel, much easier and faster and less prone to errors(typos)

Any DLC Real Traffic, Airports etc, should work if you go the steam route, you just have to make sure they are installed into the Tower folder in your Steam directory and you are good to go 🙂

Jason, That is odd, but likely something to do with your setup, either way though it would be best to attach a log file(which can be found in your Tracon!2012 folder) so that anyone that's going to try and help you can see what is happening. Also are you running the game in admin mode? if not does that solve the issue?

So they are random flights vs just changing the airline of existing flights? lol when you put it that way WestJet is our SouthWest.... you could think of it NorthWest instead of SouthWest😉

Interesting, are the flights fantasy(random/made up) or are they actual flights just under a Canadian airline?(real AAL flight as ACA for example) How did you chose what airline to change the flights to?

This may also be why, LAX TPE 77W BR 15 00:49 (EVA missing from terminal file- I imagine the EVE in the terminal file is a typo and is suppose to be EVA) LAX MIA 748 CV 432 00:57(CLX missing from terminal file- however the airlines file lists CV as CVA, CV, CHATHAM, Air Chathams, New Zealand so who knows what one it was when the schedule was made.) HNL LAX 742 K4 369 01:48:00 AM(CKS missing from the terminal file)

To be honest it kind of depends on what you are looking for(to me at least) Are you looking for Something busy with lots of traffic, or something a bit more laid back? Variety in the airlines(internationals)? Cargo/GA? As for general recommendations though, KJFK, KLAS, and KBOS are all good ones to consider. 🙂 (I don't own any of the European airports, so I can't comment on them)
