  1. Nice one Ron, thanks for that.
  2. Interesting Ron, I gave it a shot controlling like that last night. Certainly adds to the workload, however my geography isn't too good with US airport codes (I come from a land downunder) so only do the obvious ones such as SFO, SEA etc north & ATL, DFW etc to the south. The ones I am unsure about I hold off departing on the "other" runway until I see which way it has turned and allow appropriate separation.
  3. I think a good idea with the one version; seems to create a lot of confusion having two different ones.
  4. Also waited for the Pro version to come out.
  5. You can be unlucky too when an aircraft spawns just as the arrival is taxiing in; DING! All part of the fun though.
  6. Good find hexzed, thanks for that.
  7. Nice discussion you started here CL30; wonder if I could continue it by asking does anybody allow for wake turbulance catagories? I like to allow 5 miles/3000 ft when a small follows a heavy. Too hard to stay on top of though when it gets really busy, just want to get them out. Graham
  8. I let them land and taxi across at KLAX. As for departing on opposite sides of the airport, that's where my geography is not so good with the airport destination codes. I tend to stagger departures on alternate sides by at least 500ft to allow turning either way. Now if we had exit gates on the strips for the next version of tower....
  9. I actually got that from watching a documentary on Heathrow. That's how they can allow them to depart at such small intervals, natural separation once they leave the runway pretty much. If they went the same direction it would add time to the intervals thus causing a back up of departures. Normally ground controller would have them sorted and pass to tower in the correct order.
  10. Interesting question CL30. I tend to push back in order, the only thing that will dictate a change to that is aircraft inbound to a terminal that a departure has called up from. I also "try" and depart them in some sort of order for the imaginary departure controller, such as this one is going north, I'll put one going south straight after it to gain natural separation after take off. Most of the time however my geography as to which way they will go is quite miserable and when overwhelmed just "get rid of them" as quick as possible. Graham
  11. Your wife/partner will tell you....
  12. Hi Peabody, This version of tower seems to pick up (rightly so) an error when you cross a plane behind a departing aircraft. In your case think of being in AAL2387 slowing down on R27 to be all of a sudden hit side on by jet blast by a departing aircraft. (POE946 is only a turbo prop but the logic isn't sophisticated to pick that up). I just finished a 3 hour session at BOS with the same configuration as you; a lot of things to watch.
  13. Great effort bcooley66; thank you for sharing. Graham
  14. Hi Joe, Had a 2+ hour blast last night; encountered a duplicate. SWA3816 shows around 2000hrs as a departure and arrival at the same time. Otherwise all good. The evening sessions seem to have a really good flow about them, some of the day sessions can become a little overwhelming. All fun though nonetheless!
  15. Great work Joe! I gave it a run last night for around 70 minutes; all flowed well with no issues. A few missing liveries doesn't bother me too much. I had a ripper of a thunderstorm last night anyway so couldn't see much out the window. (Love the lightning!) Thanks again Joe. Graham
  16. What time was that out of interest? I believe I had the same plane AMX403 try and do the same thing last night. I had departures on 13R and it started to wander off so I gave it the taxi instruction again - Runway 13R at MC - it then corrected itself and all was good. Graham
  17. Hi Deadman, I find the first call up won't work so I use the keyboard. Then when the second calls up or the first asking for taxi instructions voice then works fine. Give it a go with the keyboard first and then try it maybe? Graham
  18. Hi Trog, Futureboy posted the following really useful piece of information in the topic Correctly installing Real Color Bundle for Steam edition of Tower!3D In summary, what finally fixed the problem was designating the correct installation directory. For Steam installations you need to replace: C:\Program Files (x86)\FeelThere\Tower!3D Pro with C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tower 3D Pro When installing Real Traffic And Replace: C:\Program Files (x86)\FeelThere\Tower!3D Pro\Extensions\Airplanes\Texturepacks with C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tower 3D Pro\Extensions\Airplanes\Texturepacks When installing Real Color RickyJ
  19. Yes, same here. MustangPauli is quite correct in his pick up. Graham
  20. It comes up all the time on my steam account. I haven't purchased it (yet) and the main menu defaults to Atlanta with a big banner to click on to purchase it. Graham
  21. Dear Vic & Team, Congratulations on an outstanding piece of work. I am a "veteran" of BAO Tower (remember that? so much potential but not quite there) and Tower 2011. I have only in the last few weeks entered the Tower 3d pro world via steam. Oh my goodness what a step up! Sure there are a few little niggles here and there but over all an addictive and enjoyable experience. One thought though as it would have been good to have the type of errors made in the summary; somewhere along the line I lost some 7,000 points (rest assured no virtual lives were lost however, just operational errors I expect). Graham
  22. Hi Viperone, I just purchased JFK add on yesterday so now going through the posts to read up on it. Interesting point you raise on the runway incursions. I was departing on 31L at KK last night and experienced the same thing as you with an arrival on 4L. When I was dinged I was pleasantly surprised; the reason being that in my research for Tower2011 years ago I read that no planes are to taxi through 31L to 4L via K whilst a plane is departing 31L at KK. Makes sense when you think of the jet blast it would create. I would assume the same would apply to landing aircraft on 4L to be suddenly hit by a blast on touchdown (I can't say that I read that anywhere though). It may be by design (only the developers would know) or by booboo but it sort of makes sense. Graham
  23. Scoobflight's suggestion is a good one, did you try that? Your Tower 2011! folder may be read only, I discovered that when using Mr Parker's brilliant schedule creator.
  24. I haven't looked at my directory structure for a while now and I am at work at the moment. I think your schedule should just go into the Tower 2011 directory - not the Airplanes directory. Just try copying and pasting to that folder and give it a shot.
  25. Hi mc1ben, Maybe another thing to check - if I recall correctly there were options on each of the downloads to check a box if using Real Traffic during installation? (Just a Possibility)
