  1. Make sure you have the latest download from the sticky thread in "downloads" on this forum. There's a known issue with new license keys and versions of FSUIPC from before the latest, so that may well resolve your issue. http://forum.simflight.com/topic/73485-2013-registrations-for-fsuipc4-need-4859n-or-later/ refers. Cheers, Ian P.
  2. Unless you specifically tell it to, or an add-on developer whose product uses it does, FSUIPC will sit there in the background and do nothing but create logs... It will only do as much or as little as you tell it to. In terms of wind and pressure changes, yes, it does and will do that - it's the primary reason I bought a license for it in the first place. Also, yes, it can do much, much more besides if you ask it to. You do have to assign it tasks and functions, though. It doesn't just jump in and take things over. All the documentation is available if you install the free version of FSUIPC so what I would suggest is that you do that (you'll need to register to enable 99% of the functionality) and take a look at the manuals. All the best. Ian P.
  3. If you log in to your account and go to "order history", under the drop down at the top right, it will be there. Oddly, I do get some keys, but not others, e-mailed... I don't know why. Normally, I retrieve them from my account, though. Ian P.
  4. I've just checked with the staff over there and the simMarket password retrieval system has been tested and IS working. Ian P.
  5. I think he's saying that the FSLabs Conc uses the flaps control to adjust the angle of the nose... But in that case, surely a generic "flaps" lever assignment should work? Unfortunately I don't have the Concord installed at the moment to test. Ian P.
  6. Which version of FSUIPC do you have and have you tried copying and pasting your details from your simFlight account to ensure there are no errors? Try the easy ones first, as you'll only get asked exactly those same two questions by someone else, shortly, if I don't! :) Cheers, Ian P.
  7. Bing translates it as: Hello, how to buy the license of FSUIPC4 for FSX in Seven 64" Which makes a little more sense. I'm seeing this more and more when I try and translate press releases and news articles and end up using both sites to translate before posting anything! http://secure.simmarket.com/pete-dowson-fsuipc4.phtml is the purchase link / É o link de compra. Ian P.
  8. There should be an option at the top of the "photo" screen that says: "Use a custom photo Once uploaded, you can adjust the cropped image. Recommend an image 200px or larger" Ian P.
  9. Hello Tony, That's because there isn't one, to be quite blunt. The way FS9 and X do reverse thrust is that, once the throttle is at idle, if you keep pressing the "reduce throttle" functions, then the engines will go into reverse thrust. There is no specific function to get there. What I would suggest, as I know it works on my throttle quads, is to set your "reverse detent" button as "reduce throttle quickly" on press and "throttle idle" on release, using FSUIPC. That does limit you to all or nothing on reverse thrust, but many real world aircraft operate that way as well. That's the least complex method. Best regards, Ian P.
  10. Hello, welcome to the forum and happy new year. Due to changes in the way that FSUIPC has to interface with the sim, as well as a lot of other changes, unfortunately you will have to buy new versions of both FSUIPC and WIDEFS for use with FSX vice FS9. Although Peter does his best to keep the two versions identical in terms of how they look, feel and work to the end user, the same cannot be said of the developers of MSFS! http://secure.simmarket.com/pete-dowson-fsuipc4.phtml is the version of FSUIPC you require, WIDEFS is linked from that page. Cheers, Ian P.
  11. Is the order number there in your order history? Ian P.
  12. I was hoping that someone with more experience of PFC hardware would spot this and chime in but, in their absence, I'll move it to Pete Dowson's support forum where it will hopefully be more visible to those who may be able to help you more. Cheers, Ian P.
  13. Any FS keyboard command can be assigned to a button on a control device anyway - whether internally within FS or using FSUIPC, although Pete's tool does give you a lot more options and control as well. If you check Pete Dowson's forum, further down the list here, or download and install the free version of FSUIPC, that will provide you with a full set of documentation so you can see exactly what FSUIPC adds. Before paying without needing to, however, what problems are you having assigning controls to the PFC buttons? Cheers and welcome to the forum! Ian P.
  14. Hello George, Yes, you can just install FSUIPC on the new PC and register it using the same information that you used before. Please be careful to enter the information exactly the same - copying and pasting it from your simMarket account is usually the best bet. Pete is probably best placed to advise regarding copying your ini file across. I suspect that there would be no problems in doing so, but it's probably best that this be confirmed by someone more knowledgeable. All the best, Ian P.
  15. There did used to be an autopilot instability/"heading hunting" issue with the CS B757, but I thought it was resolved. I can't check, as I don't have it installed at present (in fact I have no add-ons at all installed, including FSUIPC!) but the last installer I have is for v4.5, not v4.4. That is the CS version, however, not through JustFlight, who may be numbering their versions differently if they didn't publish one of the patches. Have you checked the Captain Sim support forum directly to see what users have reported there? Ian P.
  16. Can you post the version number of FSUIPC that you have installed, please, rather than "the latest"? Pete'll only ask you to do that shortly, anyway. ;) Cheers, Ian P.
  17. Hello Dave, If you go to the top right of the simMarket front page and log in using the "Login/Your Account" button, you will have a series of options available. Selecting "Login/Your Account" again, once logged in, you can use the "Purchase History" option to see what you have ordered - FSUIPC will be listed and you can click on that order to access your registration details. Hope that helps? Cheers, Ian P.
  18. Hello Dave, I'm not Pete, but can offer good news here. If you go to simMarket, log in and go to your FSUIPC order, you can regain your registration details from there. They're valid for all versions of the version of FSUIPC that you have (i.e. a FSUIPC3 license is valid for all FSUIPC3.xxx releases and a FSUIPC4 license for all FSUIPC4.xxx licenses) - they are not tied to a specific PC. All the best, Ian P.
  19. The slightly longer answer is that Simconnect and FSUIPC are used for very similar things - they inject data into and extract data from FSX. Prior to FSX, FSUIPC was pretty much the only way to do that. Simconnect also has the capability to do the same over a network connection. That's WideFS. As alaxus says, all the versions of ActiveSky and other weather applications that support FS9 will be able to do so across a FSUIPC/WideFS connection from a networked PC. It's how I always used to do it, too. Cheers, Ian P.
  20. While the WideFS server is built into the FSUIPC module, you have to license it seperately: http://secure.simmarket.com/pete-dowson-widefs7.phtml Once you have a license, re-run the FSUIPC installer and enter your license information to the page at the end. To upgrade versions of FSUIPC, run the new installer. It will overwrite the outdated files, but not FSUIPC.ini or similar, so you will retain settings you have made. Interim release modules can simply be pasted into the /FSX/Modules folder overwriting the earlier module. I hope that helps? Ian P.
  21. Hello Victor. FSUIPC has not reached version 9 - it is at version 4 for FSX and 3 for FS9/2004. Possibly these are referring to FS9 service pack versions? Can you please check exactly what the error message you are getting is and which version of the simulator is reporting it please? if it is Flight Simulator 2004, can you please install the service pack for it? Thanks, Ian P.
  22. Hello Steve, There are two programs that will allow you to move some - not all - FSX supporting applications to a seperate computer. As an example, I am currently running ActiveSky 2012 and FSCommander on the notebook I am typing this on, while running FSX on my desktop. These programs are Simconnect (built into FSX, being used by AS2012) and WideFS (by Pete Dowson as part of the FSUIPC suite, being used by FSCommander). A lot depends on the application you want to run. ActiveSky and Squawkbox use Simconnect and do not require any additional software to set up, just some configuration. For Squawkbox, run the installer for that on both PCs, selecting the one you want to run FSX on and the one you want to run Squawkbox on as appropriate. REX and Navigraph I don't know about and you will need to check their documentation for whether they use Simconnect or WideFS. Although WideFS Server is part of the FSUIPC dll file, it requires seperate licensing and registration - see here for details: http://secure.simmar...n-widefs7.phtml Hope that helps? Cheers, Ian P.
  23. I can't really comment either, beyond the fact that the default FD codereally isn't very good and, if you want one that works, developers need to write it from scratch. I suspect that is what the developers of your gauges have done. I may be wrong, but the default FD code may well just be a simple XML file which can be opened using Windows Notepad anyway. Many default gauges are. Cheers, Ian P.
  24. I found it by searching for FSFlightmax, Pete: http://library.avsim...atID=fs2002misc should take you straight to it. "File Description: FSFlightMax Key Generator. This utility will generate valid license keys for FSFlightMax. FSFlightMax from Sim Systems is now freeware but still requires a key to unlock the full version." Cheers, Ian P.
  25. Hello Rackie, Your registration will be valid for all updates of the same "primary" version of FSUIPC - so an FSUIPC4 license will be valid for all 4.xxx versions of the module, a license for FSUIPC3 is valid for all 3.xxx versions of the module. Hope that helps? Ian P.
