FSUIPC / WideFS Prosim on second Computer
Thomas Richter replied to Ursli80's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
Hi, make sure you sue latest video driver and also check your sound card driver. Also I would then first try a standard scenario, only normal speaker output and a default aircraft, then running a session. It might also help if you copy and paste the FSUIPC.log file and the crash.log from Windows (Event Viewer, Ereignisanzeige). Thomas -
SimConnect will not run FSUIPC4
Thomas Richter replied to henoik's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
Hi, it would be more helpful to show the FSUIPC4 Install log file. The FSUIPC4.log file you show is from P3D what runs OK, no errors. But why not running latest P3Dv3.4 with its latest hotfixes (version P3Dv3.4.22.19868). Does FSX-SE runs Ok, without FSUIPC correct installed? Thomas -
FSUIPC / WideFS Prosim on second Computer
Thomas Richter replied to Ursli80's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
Hi Urs, make sure you installed latest FSUIPC5.103 and also latest interim version FSUIPC5103b (einfach entpacken und die vorhandene FSUIPC5.dll im Modules\ Ordner uberschreiben). Thomas -
Constant variable 5.102 in P3Dv4
Thomas Richter replied to ajvbun's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
Hi, I just checked that with FSX-SE and A2A 172R, it seems they use that as a base pitch control in Yoke neutral position. The value here is dependent also on ENG rpm and speed. In case A2A controls like PMDG does direct via SimConnect, they might use it direct for flight dynamics simulation instead of static values in the air file only. FSUIPC is not involved in that process and it is not related to P3Dv4 only but also already to FSX and P3Dv3. I would worry about it but the position indication Offset for elevator is not usable to represent the elevator position because of the way A2A uses the elevator. Thomas -
Hi, when you check the download sub-forum above you will notice that the FSUIPC copy you use is far out of date, in relation to latest released version. Please download and install first latest version Install_FSUIPC3999z9b.zip and try again. Thomas

Hi, then that function is available for you, as Pete described above Thomas

About substrings in profile names

Hi, I tested also with ShortNameOK=Yes and that works also correct as described. I.e. when defined only Lockheed it work only with any AC that name starts with Lockheed. Thomas -
Green ATC Window
Thomas Richter replied to beechcaptain's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
Hi, that function was a hack into FSX/P3D display system but is not implemented in FSUIPC5, related to a pending solutions of L-M in P3Dv4. Thomas -
Hi, you got that very wrong here. There is neither a problem with AutoSave function in FSUIPC4 nor in FSUIPC5, both work perfect correct. The problem is using FSUIPC's AutoSave function when having an PMDG aircraft selected, maybe other Add-on aircrafts are effected as well but PMDG's are best known for that, then a big amount of data is saved by PMDG that might take up to 10 seconds and freezes for that time the FS/P3D completely. The amount of data and which date is controlled by PMDG only and the function that saves it is build into FS/P3D, where FSUIPC4 / FSUIPC5 just calls that function to execute. FSUIPC is NOT involved in what data is saved and can also not change that. You can call that function manually yourself in FS/P3D direct defined, i.e. in P3Dv4 Save Scenario, to a key or button. You will find that you get the same effect, FS/P3D freezes for 5 to seconds completely. Because of that 'Saving Problem', the big amount of date that is saved, you shouldn't use the FSUIPC AutoSave function when flying a i.e. a PMDG aircraft. For any other aircraft, default or Add-on, that doesn't save that big amount of date the AutoSave function doesn't effect the joy of flying at all because the saving takes only a fraction of a second. This is well described in the FSUIPC manuals, located in folder ..\Modules\Documents\ Thomas

About substrings in profile names
Thomas Richter replied to vgbaron's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
Hi, P3Dv4 and in FSUIPC5.ini file ShortAircraftNameOk=Substring Throttle axis assigned to profile Twin Piston [Profile.Twin Piston] 1=Lockheed Electra 10A 2=Beech Baron 58 [Axes.Twin Piston] RangeRepeatRate=10 0=AS,256,F,65697,0,0,0 -{ TO SIM: THROTTLE_SET }- Works correct as it should, any version of that starts with Lockheed Electra 10A and any version of Beech Baron 58 that starts with the corresponding string. If you shorten the strings of the aircraft names to the minimum you want to identify and use then that will work for you as well. Thomas -

FSUIPC / WideFS Prosim on second Computer
Thomas Richter replied to Ursli80's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
Hi, you can change the slope curve to your needs for each axis. Thomas

Hi, did you ask maybe first in Flight Keeper forum? Also you can use the whole FSUIPC INI file from FSUIPC4 for FSUIPC5 by just renaming it to FSUIPC5.ini Thomas -

FSX-SE shut down if I run FSUIPC4
Thomas Richter replied to alphons10's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
Hi, as your pic shows you are running an older not supported version of FSUIPC4 (4.966c). The current version 4.968, please update to latest version first. Install_FSUIPC4968.zip Thomas -
FSUIPC / WideFS Prosim on second Computer
Thomas Richter replied to Ursli80's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
Hi Urs, the FSUIPC log shows multiple reconnections of devices can it be that there is a USB connection problem/ USB Hub problem or the power saving in Windows is active for USB devices? Thomas -
Hi, did you try running without PMDG, any other Add-on will be still active, just to eliminate one after the other? I wouldn't see a restart as a fix because when SimConnect starts stalling it means it is overloaded and cannot deliver anymore what it is ask for. The restart of P3D starts just the situation fresh and SimConnect will get overloaded again after some time ... Thomas

Unable to register FSUIPC V5.102
Thomas Richter replied to AllanR's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
Hi, as a additional note, if you have already a WideFS7 licence for FSUIPC4 (FSX/FSX-SE/P3D) that will work also with FSUIPC5. You would not need to buy another registration key for that. Thomas -
FSUIPC / WideFS Prosim on second Computer
Thomas Richter replied to Ursli80's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
Hi, please make sure that Opencockpits yoke and pedals are recognized as game-controller or Joysticks in Windows itself. They might not be those type of controller at all but just HID's and work with OC software only? Also please send your FSUIPC log-file and the FSUIPC4.JoyScan.csv file from Modules folder. Thomas -
FSUIPC would only do that when you call process, if it doesn't need to be send anymore it shouldn't be in the process group anymore. Thomas

you write fsuControlDatau = New FSUIPC.Offset(Of Integer)(&H3114, True) No quotation marks for the address, in your case the offset address is seen as a string ... Thomas
-
if you use both offsets as write only then add the True parameter fsuControlDatau = New FSUIPC.Offset(Of Integer)("&H3114", True) fsuControlu = New FSUIPC.Offset(Of Integer)("&H3110", True) Thomas
