  1. Assuming you have RT and RC installed, look in the Extensions folder of your Tower3DPro installation. Inside you will find folders for each airport. Inside each of these folder you will find a bunch of .txt files, including "airlines.txt". Open this file with wordpad and look up the problem airlines, using the three letter identifier. For example, if you search for JBU you will find the details for this airline, including its call sign. For JBU, the call sign is listed by default as JETBLUE; this is wrong, and results in the pilots spelling it out instead of pronouncing it. By adding a space so that it reads, "JET BLUE", the problem can be corrected and the pilots will pronounce it correctly. For any other airlines that are giving you trouble, you may need to experiment to figure out what works. Also note that you will need to do the same thing for the airlines.txt files of each airport that includes flights from a given airline.
  2. Has anyone else noticed that the DBRITE looks a little weird after moving it to the second monitor? When It comes up on the primary monitor, it is revy clear and readable, but after I move it to the 2nd monitor, the rings look a bit pixilated and the data tags become too small to read easily.
  3. The manual contains incorrect examples for issuing taxiway instructions. For example, for departing aircraft, it gives the example: " CALLSIGN, RUNWAY XX TAXI VIA TAXIWAY X (TAXIWAY Z, TAXIWAY Y". I had a brutally difficult time with getting the sim to understand such commands, until I realized by accident that all I needed to say was "Callsign, Runway XX, Taxi via X, Z, Y." That is to say that the word "Taxiway" is not a part to the phrasing at all. For literally minded people like myself, it would be helpful to revise the relevant examples accordingly.
  4. I thought that Pro would just automatically recognize displaced thresholds in every airport and adjust traffic accordingly. Perhaps Vic could offer a bit more insight into how this works, and whether there is a problem or intent to go back and include them in the other airports that have them.
  5. Ah, okay, so that's where the disconnect is. Hopefully, this will be an easy fix for Vic & the team.
  6. AT JFK, taxiway KK is pronounce by the pilot voice letter by letter. Instead of saying "kilo kilo", she spells it out as "K I L O K I L O". Is there an easy way to fix this ourselves, as we can with Airlines names, such as "Jet Blue", or will the developer need to get involved? I cannot find any text files that list all the names of the taxiways at airports.
  7. Thank you Vic
  8. I beg to differ. Please take a closer look at the approach ends of Runways 31R, and 22R, for example. Both have substantial displaced thresholds, that are visibly marked, both in the sim, and in the real world.
  9. As Left-Shift is the default key for this, it might be a good idea to mention this conflict in the manual, along with the work-around. Hint hint ;-)
  10. Really? I have not tested that one out yet, but obviously KJFK has several displaced thresholds. VIc, can you confirm it KJFK's displaced thresholds are intended to function realistically, or if not whether something planned for them?
  11. Interesting. I have encountered it a couple of times more, and so far ( in my case) it still seems to be associated with issuing multiple incorrect commands in a row (usually it seems to take 4-5 such errors). As you mentioned issues with the multi monitor windows, I will also note that two times when starting the game I would send a window to my second monitor, and the window would momentarily appear there and then disappear (this has nothing to do with the above issue that I know of, but I thought I would mention it since it sounds a little like what you experienced).
  12. I have not had any trouble mouse selecting aircraft on a second monitor. Must be something specific to your system/installation.
  13. How can you "hear" anything on a mic? A mic is supposed to hear you ;-)
  14. What can I say? The traffic in LA is crazy :-)
  15. In that case it is not just you. Vic acknowledged the reports in another post that he will look into it on Monday.
  16. Not sure if this it s fluke, but voice recognition stopped part way through a session at KJFK today. Was working fine for about 10 minutes, and then suddenly it would no longer accept any voice commands (button commands still worked). After shutting down and restarting the sim everything was normal. Just before this happened, I had made several incorrect transmissions while trying to recall how to phrase a complex taxi instruction, and I wonder if it to be expected that several mistakes in a row could cause something like this, or perhaps if there is a trick to unlocking the system without restarting? Has anyone else experienced this? As I said, it might just be a fluke.
  17. Agreed on all fronts. EGLL would definitely be great, though I can understand the hesitation at adding yet another field with a parallel layout right away. Either EHAM (or similarly KORD) would make for some greater contrast, as would KSFO. IMHO
  18. This has been reported at KSAN. Are you seeing this at other airports as well?
  19. For RT, be sure that you installed with the Pro exe (2 .exe files are provided. For RC Be sure that you pointed the installer to your Pro installation, by default it will point to the location of the location of the standard version. Should look something like this: FeelThere/Tower3DPro/Extensions/Airplanes
  20. Perhaps a shortcut was not created during installation. Just go to the FeelThere folder, and find the .exe for Pro and create a shortcut for your desktop (right click the exe and select send to desktop.
  21. Good catch! I had not picked up on that yet, but you are absolutely right :-)
  22. The same thing could be said about KLAX and KJFK, but I have not heard many complaining. Moreover, as you mentioned, the traffic volume can easily be manged to taste, either through the percentage slider in settings, or by modding. In reality Tower3D(Pro) is both a sim and a game, and can easily serve the purposes of both (either separately or simultaneously). As such we need every airport we can get as each one has a unique runway/taxiway/terminal layout, and its own unique challenges.
  23. The intensity of the lights can be increased by selecting a higher bloom level in the advanced graphics settings
  24. Also noticed that planes exiting the runway still block the parallel taxiway. Its like they need to increase the distance between the runway and taxiway by another 10 feet.or so.
