Please confirm you have also done all the items outlined to do starting with -

CORTANA IS WORKING AND YOU CAN TALK TO IT

Continue through the list through -

Then follow the USB suggestion if not working.

New issue here...

Working fine on my laptop. Installed on my PC (high-end) and speech is not working. Using a headset mic setup, I can hear the opening music but when finished loading I do not hear the planes and my voice does not register in the CP. I do hear the chime that plays when I push the left shift key. I have checked to make sure my mic was not on mute. I have "trained" my PC for speech recognition, am in the USA and my PC is set for English. In my mic setup it recognizes my voice, etc. I tried reinstalling but no joy. I have the latest version, as I just purchased a couple weeks ago. I'm at a loss as to what to try next.

Hello everyone,

Just in case this could help others, I think I finally solved my problems with speech recognitions: using a USB headset.

I had my voice recognition set up and trained as posted in this topic. I even created the exceptions on the antivirus for the files also mentioned here (or in an attached topic at the beginning). However the speech recognition in the game was faulty. I could play (for hours in some cases) but there were many occasions in which the game just couldn't understand me. That meant that everything was working but sometimes it wouldn't get any of my words or it would just make up what I said. Very frustrating.

After checking that everything was set up as it should, I tried using a USB headset (a very very basic one) instead of the jack headset that I was using and... absolute surprise. The game worked perfectly. Not a single problem.

Good luck everyone!

In addition to this, I also tried using my smartphone as a microphone connecting it to the PC via USB (using an app called 'WO Mic'). I just had to talk normally with the phone on the desk in front of me and it also worked perfectly.
