  1. I've had major issues with the traffic pattern never doing what I want it to do (what an aircraft is meant to do).

It is best to just give a missed approach or published missed approach aircraft a "contact departure" command and let the "departure" controller bring it around again.

If you try to use the traffic pattern it causes mayhem with your other traffic because you cannot control the aircraft's speed on approach or it's height during the traffic pattern (crosswind, downwind, base and finals).

Yes, it's fictional. I've decided only doing fictional schedules. (At least for the moment!)

No problem. I have made a note on the main blog post to state this so users are aware. If you would like me to amend it in any way, you know how to inform me.

  3. I thought I would add this information as I use to fly this route alot on the vatsim network on FS9.

Realistic Runway Setup (inc. noise restrictions):

7L = mainly for arrivals but is often used for departures as well (heavies usually - A330/340/380, B747/777/787)

7R = mainly for departures but it is used as an overflow for arrivals in busy periods

2 is used only at night (2300 - 0659). 20 is not used at all.

See page 2 of the following document for details:
    http://vau.aero/navdb/chart/LEBL.pdf

Thanks to @crbascott for providing a much more up-to-date chart

  4. Me and gnome had this the other day when using 22L and 27 for arrivals - then 22R and 22L for departures. We were utterly stumped by it so we just switched over to using the northeast flow (32, 33L and 32 for arrivals - then 33L and 27 for departures) ... that works somewhat .. just watch the arrivals carefully. Departures aren't an issue.

Hopefully this will be fixed in the next version of Tower 3D :)

    I've added the KPHL Schedule.

So far I haven't been able to test every hour, so reports of anything strange are very welcome.
This is of course true in principle and not only for KPHL.

Is this one fictional again or based upon a realistic timetable? Thanks :)

  6. FeelThere and @nyergesdesign should seriously consider adding the rest of the DLC content (Real Traffic and Real Colours) on Steam. You would sell a lot more copies.

On the Steam pages for the airports and main game; there are no links to these addons; nor any mention of them from what I can see.

  7. As long as you follow the correct coding format AND name the file [icao]_schedule.txt, then the sim will understand your schedule fine.

Depart Airport [icao], Arrive Airport [icao], Aircraft Type, Airline Code, Flight No, Arrival Time ,Departure Time ,Duration , Codeshare

Make sure that the corresponding items above match those in the "[icao]_airlines.txt" and "[icao]_airports.txt" file for the specific airport.
