I tried to host a session using Tracon!2012 SE and the guest ( @ml0130 ) using Tracon!2012. After a successful connection his session bombed out prior to displaying the radar screen. Are the original and SE MP compatible? I'm attaching our game.log files. FYI - I'd had no issues with MP when the program versions are the same (Original/Original & SE/SE). Thanks, Craig game.log game_guest.log

I was running a session with a custom gaandlocaltraffic.txt file trying to test out traffic at some of the satellite airports in the LAX sector, specifically in this case KFUL. The first two flights that appeared weren't in my file, RT, or the default file. Is traffic randomly generated somehow for the satellite airports? Restarting this session at the same time seemed to generate different flights, and again, they were in any file that I'm aware of. Thanks, Craig

CALLSIGN, CHANGE TO RUNWAY XX does exist in the manual but without the the CLEARED TO LAND phrase. The benefit of the command now in Pro is really just 2 syllables versus 4 as the separate CLEARED TO LAND is still required. Having said that I have never gotten the command to work myself in Pro. I'm curious if it is a bug or if there are specific rules when it can be used. @FeelThere?

@wsuchmentions there are no LSALT overlays. I'm not familiar with that terminology, but am familiar with MVA charts - which I think is more applicable to ATC. As far as Tracon!2012 goes, an MVA overlay is not available but obstacles (mountains, etc.) are modeled.

Real Traffic and Real Color licensing question
crbascott replied to KPryor's topic in ATC Simulators
Below is an excerpt from the license agreement which I am sure you have already read since you clicked "I agree with the above terms and conditions". :) Looks like it is slightly incorrect as 1a references Tower!2011 instead of Tower!3D Pro. Additionally, I think the word requires should be required. Nevertheless, I believe 1a answers your question. 1. GRANT OF NON-EXCLUSIVE, LIMITED LICENSE The Software and related documentation is licensed, not sold. Any rights not clearly and expressly granted to you under this EULA are reserved to Nyerges Design Provided you have paid all applicable fees, registered the Software with Nyerges Design, and otherwise complied with this EULA, Nyerges Design grants you the following personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited rights: a. One install requires for each computer wherever Tower! 2011 is installed. b. You may use the Software for private entertainment purposes only, ... I hear a very handsome gentleman has made a quite busy custom schedule for KJFK. http://forum.simflight.com/topic/84721-custom-schedule-for-kjfk-~-by-crbascott-~-bonus-files-included/

Tower!3DPro Installed Airports not showing up as such.
crbascott replied to seantheshowatc's topic in ATC Simulators
There really shouldn't be anything in the FeelThere folder other than the Tower!3D Pro folder. That's why I suggested starting over rather than trying to apply band-aids which may work short term but probably not long term.- 6 replies

Tower!3DPro Installed Airports not showing up as such.
crbascott replied to seantheshowatc's topic in ATC Simulators
To be honest, your installation appears to be a mess. If you still have all the installers, I think it would be easier to start over. 1) Uninstall everything. 2) After the uninstalls, check to see if your FeelThere folder still exists. If it does - delete it. 3) Check your C: drive and see if the FeelThere folder exits there too. If so, delete it. 4) Reinstall Tower!3D Pro. SkyKing's note above shows the default installations paths. You can use your D: drive but you'll need to change the drive every time you install an add-on. 5) You didn't mention it, but you need Real Traffic. If don't have it you need to get it. Install it, using the location you chose in step 4. 6) Install KJFK using the same location you chose in step 4. This is very important as I think this installer may point to Tower3D and not Tower!3D Pro. 7) Install RC for KJFK, making sure to use same drive you chose in step 4. 8) Run the sim. If it works, enjoy! If not, PM me and I'll see what I can do to help.- 6 replies

Addressed taxi route calculation issues related to 3.1 update.
-
This issue has already been reported (see link below) when taxiing to 7L from certain gates in the south cargo area. For this scenario I have found that PUSHBACK APPROVED, EXPECT RUNWAY 7L followed by a CONTINUE TAXI works well. Looks like you may have found similar results for 25R. http://forum.simflight.com/topic/84625-issues-with-kphx-nyergesdesign/?do=findComment&comment=513464 FYI - attaching a log file in the future will help the developers.

Nice goal, but not currently possible.

No it wasn't answered. A plane will not take an earlier exit than it physically can - i.e., it will not exit until it has slowed to 45 knots. In the example above, the following is the earliest exit these planes would take: DH4-B5, E70-B6, 73W-B7, 753-B8. So to directly answer your questions, planes do not have to slow down to 19 knots to exit. DISCLAIMER: The landing distances above were done back in November. With SPs for both Tower and RT, results now could be slightly different.

For clarification, this command is in FeelThere's manual - https://www.atcsuite.com/tower-promanual

1-TIST 2-KPHL 3-KLAX 4-KJFK 5-KSAN 6-KLAS 7-KATL 8-KBOS 9-KLGA 10-KPHX

Yes one for each airport. If you are seeing strange characters you are not looking at the correct files - they should be very small in size.
-
Seek and ye shall find! :) All your RC files are installed in your [tower root]\Extensions\Airplanes\Texturepacks folder. If you look at the ".manifest" files in a text editor, you'll see a list of the available liveries. The format is XXXX_yy where XXXX is the aircraft type and yy is the IATA code of the airline.

The check is in the mail. :)

What was the installer that you used? KJFK has or had separate installers for 3D and 3D Pro.
-
I bet my wife $100 that Sky King would reply with 24 hours. I win! LOL!

FlightAware is what most custom schedule makers use.

Yes, you need to get the current version - sp6v4.

Real Traffic for Tracon!2012 - Installer Issue
crbascott replied to crbascott's topic in ATC Simulators
Yes, that is exactly why you, @VenturaGuy101, and myself won't have issues. But what if Tracon!2012 SE is your first foray into the ATC Suite of products? You don't have this option. Also, RT for 3D doesn't have any traffic for the satellite airports so it really doesn't do you any good either. What is needed is a full single schedule file that contains flights for all airports. That's exactly what RT for Tracon originally delivered (possibly in the originally installer or SP1) and that is what is needed to be added to the current installer or a new one. -
Real Traffic for Tracon!2012 - Installer Issue
crbascott replied to crbascott's topic in ATC Simulators
That is why I was successful too. I found my original installer and was able to confirm the issues people are having.
