Good one @Mike1960. @Controller- Rogue not only do you need to create a custom schedule schedule but design an airport too. 🙂

Tower 3d Pro - Holding pattern left/right command
crbascott replied to Pedantic G's topic in ATC Simulators
@hexzed and @Rob25, @gazza2868 made the statement that he "can't think of the benefit" of the command in question. I addressed that - more than likely I'd issue a go around in the scenario I mentioned too but that is somewhat irrelevant. So, in specifically addressing the point in the original post, is there a situation where you'd use the CALLSIGN, ENTER LEFT/RIGHT PATTERN RUNWAY XX command? -
Tower 3d Pro - Holding pattern left/right command
crbascott replied to Pedantic G's topic in ATC Simulators
@gazza2868 as @hexzed tested it is not a "holding pattern" but instructing the pilot to re-enter a landing traffic pattern. A possible use is when a GA or slower plane is getting caught from behind by a faster plane to avoid a collision. You'll then need to feed this plane back into arriving traffic which could present a whole other set of issues. 🙂 The annotated user manual that @rameus shared has a good description: Aircraft can enter a traffic pattern for landing when a safe landing is difficult. Be aware the aircraft will automatically re-enter the final descent path after the base leg of the pattern. This could create a dangerous situation as other aircraft may also be on their final descent to the runway. Be sure to maintain proper anticipated separation. -
KPHL airport due some (brotherly) love (please?)

KPHL airport due some (brotherly) love (please?)

C'mon Paul - this was a joke - no need to prove anything or counter. I'm not here to debate your items one way or the other ... I hope the forum doesn't stoop to that level. Ultimately it is FeelThere's decision on what new features, improvements, etc. make the cut. The exciting part is that the next version will take the franchise to the next level and will not just be changes to existing game mechanics. I'm definitely Looking forward to what's next! -
@Controller- Rogue is going to need specific details or a log file to even begin to figure this out. Could be a schedule issue, the way the sim loads 8 hours of flights, or a myriad of other possibilities. And with other folks being able to run the schedule fine, your issue is even more baffling. So, again, the more details you can provide the better.

My vote is for KBOS. Come on @Controller- Rogue, time to shell out a few bucks and get some airports. 😉

Check out this video: https://youtu.be/2NxHOLYqsN8 This isn't a bug, it's reality. FeelThere got it right! Despite ATC instructions, pilots exit wherever they want! 🙂 Thanks to @pete_agreatguy for sharing this link on Tower_MP. -
I wasn't going to correct that - I was waiting on you. 🙂
-
Do you mean KDEN?
-
I agree with @pete_agreatguy, use my custom schedule. 😉 Very unusual decision by FT/ND to add the Janet terminal and not support it with the official product.

I didn't think you were being mean. It was an obvious joke by @hexzedand it kinda looked like you thought he was serious. There's really no need for thinking, hoping, guessing, etc. Vic's not so subtle hint gave it away - it's definitely Vancouver. No apologies necessary, that was funny. Keep it up! 🙂

@Braf123456I think you are taking this thread a little too seriously - @hexzed has a good sense of humor. If you do some research you'll see this airport doesn't fit the mold of something FeelThere would release. However, if you check out the Wikipedia page there is an interesting story about its involvement in the September 2011 attacks.

@gazza2868 SWM is the airplane type. Below is from the airplanes file. SWM_-SWM-FAIRCHILD SA26/SA226/SA227 MERLIN/METRO -TURBOPROP Amflight is the callsign for Ameriflight. They are a cargo operator with a fleet of smaller airplanes. They do feeder runs for the big cargo haulers and also do some medical related transports. Below is from the airlines file. AMF, A8, AMFLIGHT, Ameriflight, United States

Why do you say that? 😀

Look at a map a little closer, it's rather obvious. Unless one considers Phoenix west coast. 🙂

There's only two possible causes to your problem: (1) Bad install file or (2) installing at an incorrect location. With the previous screenshots, it was apparent that #2 was your problem. Will need screenshots again in order to confirm what the issue is this time.

OK - so you have Tower!3D Pro. Unfortunately, the installer for KLAS defaults to Tower 3D. So I'd recommend the following steps: Uninstall KLAS - it is in the wrong location Reinstall KLAS Change the default directory to C:\Program Files (x86)\FeelThere\Tower!3D Pro You should be good to go Question for @FeelThereor @FeelThere Ariel - is there a business reason for the airport installers to use a default directory of Tower 3D instead of Tower!3D Pro. Is Pro the bigger seller yet? Sure seems like there is more discussion/comments around Pro than the basic version. Or, how about an intelligent installer similar to Nyerges Design? Seems like there could be a "simple" solution to a way too often recurring problem.
-
@Christian 87It's not in the screenshot. Where is the file tower3d.exe? If you used the default path to install tower 3D, then just run the installer for your add-ons using the default path. To be sure, what is the filename of your Real Traffic program?
-
@Christian 87, do you have Tower!3D or Tower!3D Pro? You are missing several files in your Tower 3D folder if you have Tower 3D. Your installation folder is unique to say the least. Is there a reason you didn't go with the default installation path? Where did you purchase the product?
-
Uh oh, am I experiencing a Groundhog's Day phenomenon? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyBSrBqogPY 🙂
-
@Christian 87, it does work. All you need to do is run the installer, enter your activation key, choose the applicable Tower product, and it will come up with the correct default installation path for you. If that doesn't work then you got something strange going on. But to get further help, as @hexzedsaid you'll need to provide some information (screenshots of folder structures for example) which you haven't done yet.

crbascott replied to Pdubya's topic in ATC Simulators
You are doing something very wrong - Bradley. You need to edit your post and delete that screenshot - you are sharing way too much information. I'm surprised a moderator hasn't deleted the post - it's not good for @nrhollandand @FeelThere. -
I don't think I'd say Real Traffic "auto updates" when a new airport is released. Nyerges Design releases a new version which has to be manually downloaded and installed. @Mike1960You can have both 3D and 3D Pro on your computer and you can install Real Traffic for both. Just make sure to save your download link for future updates.

Any Real Color you buy gets applied to all airports. Obviously you've purchased other RC products so planes included in those packages that are also in KSFO will have liveries. At the moment there are 17 liveries that are unique to RC KSFO. So, at a minimum those will be white.
