By the first exit, do you mean taxiway T? I can neither confirm nor deny aircraft not taxing to the terminal from KLAX 7L. If a plane seems to sit for too long I will check to see if there is a path to the terminal. If there is, I check the speed, if the speed is 0, I will issue a "continue taxi" command and check the speed again to see if it starts to move. If there is no path and the status is state_waiting or state_escape_runway, I will issue the "taxi to terminal" command and check the speed to see if it starts moving and the state switches to state_to_terminal. The "schedule" I checked was the file named "klax_schedule.txt" in the C:\Program Files (x86)\FeelThere\Tower 3D\Extensions\Airfields\KLAX folder. I initially was incorrectly looking for 747 but have now found the correct 744 planes and hoping to eventually see one. Don't worry, I don't expect to see any DC-10's or L1011's or Concorde's let alone any DC-3's :) Like you said, I guess I am going to have to spend more time. Okay, if I have too :) RickyJ

Okay I'll concede, maybe there are 6 different styles. I did fast forward KLAX until a 388 showed up and it had a double row of windows, but I checked the schedule files and still cannot find any 747's. I am still in doubt that there are 168 different drawings of all the different planes. RickyJ

Oh, all the different aircraft show up. In fact for KLAX there are 168 different aircraft models, but you will only see 5 different basic styles or types or sizes. For instance: All of these will show up as a wide body jet B777 IL86 IL96 A310 A332 A342 B742 B762 B772 A310 A333 A343 B763 B773 B744 B764 A345 A306 A346 A388 B75W B77L DC10 B743 B743 B77W B744 MD11 A310 A330 A340 A380 B74S B74M B747 B767 A30B A30B and not 38 different styles of aircraft, with and without winglets and other discerning differences. Well, for $9.99 I have bought from Nyerges what I had for free when using the custom files from Henrik Norgaard and Dick Parker. White planes and real airline names. **edited for less sarcasm*** :( RickyJ

I beg to differ. The default Nyerges install wants to put the directory in C:\Program Files (x86)\Tower! 3D, but the only way I can get the real planes to show up is to move/copy the files into C:\Program Files (x86)\FeelThere\Tower 3D. However, when I do this, my Airports folder in the Extensions folder are overwritten with the Nyerges files and I loose all my customized schedules. Or rather the custom files that Henrik and Dick made. Would someone else either confirm or deny? RickyJ

Looks like something got missed in the Real Traffic add-on. The default directory that show is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Tower! 3D Which is incorrect. The real default folder should be: C:\Program Files (x86)\FeelThere\Tower 3D Nyerges missed the FeelThere folder. You can either insert the correct path when you re-install Real Traffic or just copy/move the C:\Program Files (x86)\Tower! 3D folder to the C:\Program Files (x86)\FeelThere\ folder and say yes to overwriting the existing folder. WARNING: Contrary to what has been said in another post if you have used Dick Parkers schedule creator or used previous modifications by Henrik they will be overwritten. Nyerges uses the same C:\Program Files (x86)\FeelThere\Tower 3D\Extensions\Airfields directrory, so you will want to rename your current C:\Program Files (x86)\FeelThere\Tower 3D\Extensions\Airfields directory to something like C:\Program Files (x86)\FeelThere\Tower 3D\Extensions\Airfields.MINE before installing Real Traffic or moviing/copying the directory that has been installed. Would it be possible, either in this years budget or next year to requisition a new pair of binoculars for Tower!3D? Something in the 100X70 or 200X50 range would be nice. It is really hard to see those planes when they are out on the runway ready for takeoff. I'm not getting any younger and my cataracts are getting a little worse but not bad enough for the surgery. I really do not want to retire yet, I just turned 63 and want to wait a couple more years before I start drawing on my Social Security. Thanks kindly, RickyJ

Gazdon, Yes, thank you, I am glad it is not just me. Sometimes I will have a plane wanting to go to 25L to takeoff and I have to delete the landing TurboProp. At least I get credit for the landing. GKibby, Thanks for the tip, works great. RickyJ

The archive should contain a folder called Extensions. This folder will go in the: C:\Program Files (x86)\FeelThere\Tower 3D folder. If you want the original schedules, then you can rename the Extensions folder to something like Extensions.NEW. I have discovered that aircraft will wait quietly for 15 minutes before causing a penalty. This includes waiting to taxi to a runway or taxi to a terminal. If you instruct the plane to taxi to a runway, then tell it to "hold position", I have not incurred a penalty yet. RickyJ

Am I cheating if I use the "DELETE AIRPLANE" button? When I first started I was always using this a lot, especially for departing aircraft. Arriving aircraft was never a problem, they were always spaced evenly. But now I just handle the departures at my leisure, but not too much leisure because I received a penalty for not handling the aircraft. I do not remember how much time elapsed while the plane was waiting at the terminal. But the good thing is that it never ran out of fuel. Another alternative is to use the posted schedules. For KLAX, KPHL and TIST, I think these were created to produce about 20-30 arrivals and departures per hour. I believe this is the most recent link: RickyJ

Doh! That's the problem, you are selecting the runway, (left click). Select the aircraft. Select "TAXI TO" Select "RUNWAY" but do not select the runway, instead: Right click your taxiway path then Right click the runway intersection and your text should read something like: At KPHL "MAX4001 TAXI TO RUNWAY 9L VIA K AT T" Select "SEND" RickyJ
