TOWER!3D Pro: Purchased KLAS but real traffic not working here
futureboy replied to struyf's topic in ATC Simulators
My guess is that your download link has been compromised and ha been accessed from multiple IP addresses. You will have to email BMT Micro to have them reset your link: email BMT at orders@bmtmicro.com for inquiries related to an order you have placed. RickyJ -
Take a look around your drives to make sure it did not accidentally go into C: Drive or the Program Files (x86) Do a search on you S: and C: drives for Texturepacks to see if it accidentally placed the files in the incorrect location. You can also try the installation again, if you do not mind extra files laying around. RickyJ

S. made family plans for the Labor Day weekend........... RickyJ

Tower!3D Pro: Airliner callsign numbers "group form"
futureboy replied to dhleong's topic in ATC Simulators
I think the "group form" method should be considered as an enhancement for the next version of Tower!, and let the developers concentrate on new releases using new technologies. After all, do you think we would be playing Tower!3D today if the developers kept trying to add every suggested change to Tower!2011? RickyJ -

Inquiry: Change to RWY + Cleared to Land command
futureboy replied to Pdubya's topic in ATC Simulators
The combos made by other users are commands that will work via the command line, but were not in the tower3d.rec file. I have found that if a command does not work when typed in to the command line, it will not work via voice. There are a couple commands that are available through the command line that are not in the tower3d.rec file as mentioned in other topics, and these can be added to the tower3d.rec file. However, I have not found any commands that are in the the tower3d.rec file that cannot be issued via the command line. So if the command "SWA3452 ENTER FINAL RUNWAY 27 CLEARED TO LAND" is not acknowledged when using the command line, I could almost guarantee that it will not work when added to the tower3d.rec file. Sorry to be such a downer Danny, RickyJ -
Historically speaking service pack 2A was released within hours after service pack 2 was released after an ooppsy was discovered. In reality service pack 2 was replaced by service pack 2 the same day. And technically speaking as of May 12, 2017 the latest release is numbered: v1.1.132.1197 SP2 When downloaded from the BMT Micro Inc. links. If you want KSAN to work, you have to buy the additional airport. For the real life liveries you have to buy Real Color for KSAN and if you want the real life schedules you have to buy the Real Traffic addon. https://www.atcsuite.com/tower3d or http://feelthere.com/category/cate_id:209 RickyJ

Tower 3d Pro Penalty Points and something else
futureboy replied to matthias_berlin's topic in ATC Simulators
Planes waiting longer than 15 minutes to pushback after they annouce they are ready or to taxi to the terminal after landing will post a 50 point penalty. As in real life, you can tell a plane to pushback to stop the timer and conform to departure schedules, then tell the plane to hold indefinitely, but in this sim the passengers do not get angry. Perhaps you are not zoomed out enough (or zoomed in too close) on the DBRITE (radar). When the DBRITE is selected, use the mouse scroll wheel to zoom in and out. The Arrival/Departure window will also scroll up and down with the mouse scroll wheel when selected. I'm with Craig, it is not the score that counts, it is the adventure. RickyJ -
Yes, when I see the plane is a 73W, I know that it is a 737-700, its' maximum takeoff weight is 154.500 lbs which makes it a category 2 plane. But I do not have to look at its' designation since I have Nyerges Real Traffic and Real Color I can tell what type of plane it is just by looking at it. Good job Nyerges, RickyJ

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_airliners_by_maximum_takeoff_weight • Cat I = under 41,000 pounds gross weight (small) • Cat II = between 41,000 and 255,000 pounds gross weight (large) • Cat III = over 255,000 pounds gross weight (heavy) RickyJ

Have you tried using the keyboard arrow keys after clicking on the sliders to move them rather than trying to move the sliders with the mouse? RickyJ

You guys are getting soft on FeelThere. It has been over two months, that's like 62 days since KATL has been released and nobody is jumping up and down about the release of KLAS? I think you people are being way too nice to Vic and company, sure they had their little vacation and their crystal anniversary, but: And what about those airports from SimSmith and Nyerges? So much for that "internal tool that will allow us to release airports more often". Hey, somebody has to crack the whip around here, summer's almost over and pretty soon the snow will be flying so I won't be spending all my time outside anymore and I'll be needing something to keep myself occupied. Who says sarcasm never gets you anywhere. As always XXXOOOXXX (hugs and kisses), RickyJ

On the contrary. I use this command when on parallel runway airports and simultaneous takeoffs, except it is either turn left/right 90 degrees or turn left/right heading 180/360 but I do not wait until they reach 3000 feet, I will have them turn at 500 feet . RickyJ

This is very disheartening. My primary specs are lower, but nothing to sneeze at ( I7 4th generation and Nvidia 870 3GB and 16GB Ram - aachoo) and I thought it was me, but with near bleeding edge, 6th generation I7 ( 7th generation is out) and 940M (albeit mobile graphics chip) GeForce 1080 is out with the 2080 on the horizon. Kind of makes me want to question what the developers and testers are running. As far as maximum versus minimum settings for KATL go, I have not seen a difference in frame rate. I will get between 6fps at the slowest when the tower view is to the West and 32fps at the fastest when the tower view is to the East. I always get a 60fps frame rate when sitting inside the cockpit. These are all "Turn Based" games and not "Simulation" games. "Turn Based" simulation games are like playing poker against a computer. When the cards are dealt the computer knows what you are holding and what the next card will be. RickyJ
