CL30
I didn't see in the rules that pics weren't allowed, so I thought I would share some with you guys. I recently had a trip to SFO (coincided with my T3D Pro download of SFO, so I had been playing it in the hotel) and was able to take several photos. They aren't the best quality as they were with my cell phone. Departing 1R/L Air Canada 737 Max. Really like their paint scheme with the blacked out cockpit windows. Saw an AC 787 while taxiing, but couldn't snap a pic for obvious reasons! Three United 787s Falcon 2000 with UAL B777 under tow Same UAL 777 Qantas B744 under tow and Korean Air Cargo 747-8F on taxiway C Singapore Airlines A350. Really wish that pic turned out better, but I saw it too late.

CL30
Everyone's favorite LAX spot....Taxiway Zulu, holding short of 24L! I exited the runway quickly, lol. 😀 Same spot, had to wait for a WestJet 737, Delta 739, ERJ-170, and this SWA 737 at rotation...he's kinda visible above the winglet, poor photo. Other side of the airport. On Taxiway Tango holding short of 25L. Air New Zealand B777. Citation C-680 Sovereign, Falcon 2000, and a Gulfstream G-V (I think, I forgot to look)

DeltaVII
I think I'll share some pictures from my home airport, then. It's EDDH (HAM). It's named after former chancellor Helmut Schmidt and is the oldest as well as the fifth-biggest airport in Germany (but still pretty small and having a similar layout to La Guardia). It's equipped with two runways: 05/23 (10,663 ft., displaced thresholds on both ends) and 15/33 (12,028 ft., displaced threshold in the south). Most of the time the airport operates on both runways. The common configurations are landing on 23 (Langenhorn approach) or 05 (Niendorf approach), takeoff on 33 (Norderstedt departure). Depending on the wind they sometimes switch to departures on 23 and arrivals on 15, which was the scenario on the day I took the photos from two spotting points, Holtkoppel and Nordportbogen (in Norderstedt). Takeoff of an Air Berlin Airbus A321-211 with registration D-ABCA (now: Easyjet's G-POWU) on runway 23 with the radar tower. EDDH tower in front of Lufthansa Technik (maintenance) with parked aircraft on apron 2 and the television tower (we call it "Telemichel", derived from a the landmark steeple of St. Michaelis church we just call "Michel") in the distance. A Cessna 525 Citation CJ1+ performing a "late" touchdown on runway 15. A Lufthansa CityLine ("HansaLine") CRJ-701ER (registration: D-ACPD) landing on runway 15. The same Lufthansa CityLine CRJ taking off on runway 15 a little later (which is a rare occurrance, since the flight path leads over the whole city) with the "City Nord" business park in the distance. The ALS on runway 15. And this is Terminal 1 from the inside. It was rebuilt in 2005.

crbascott
Included are a couple of aircraft photos on approach to KDFW. The main reason I post these is to remember to ask for more realistic finals and hand-offs in the next Tower version. This is QFA7 turning from its right base leg to final. At this point, the A388 is about 12 miles out and under the control of the final approach controller. The hand-off to the tower controller occurs typically around 7 to 5 miles out. In Tower!3D Pro, the final leg is at least 20+nm with the hand-off to tower occurring 20nm out. BAW193's approach was more straight in because it arrived from the east and it had been approved for a landing on the west side. However, again at about 12 miles the B744 was still under control of the final approach controller with the hand-off to tower occurring about 7 miles out. 1

crbascott
Yep, moved to the area about 10 years ago and this is what got me hooked into aviation. It first started with - I wonder where those planes are coming from? So, I stumbled across the amazing FlightAware and FlightRadar24. The first step into making this a hobby was buying camera equipment and plane-spotting at Founders Plaza at DFW airport (which I highly recommend) where they broadcast air traffic control communication between the tower and pilots. This naturally led me onto the awesome LiveATC which eventually morphed into an interest in commercial airplane travel logistics. So, onto the next step. I was "slightly" over 30 so that meant a career change was out of the question, as a result I did the next best thing. This is when I bought Tower!2011 (25 total airports) and later Tracon!2012 (7 total sectors including 1 self-created). I stubbornly did not make the Tower!3D plunge until the release of Pro ... had to have voice. It was tough to wait, but I'm glad I did. In the quest for more realism I became interested in multiplayer, so I selfishly created the Tower_MP Discord server to hopefully make this happen. Little did I know that this would become a vehicle to play the sim with people all over the world. Mind blown! And now we are on the brink of the next version of Tower ... a version that will take the franchise to the next level. I'm at my station, with headset on, and ready for my shift. Let's do this @FeelThere! 🙂 4

Living where I live I only get to see these at 20,000 feet or so as they go in and out of LGW and LHR on their way over to and from the pond. Thanks goodness for FlightRadar24 App for the phone as I bore the wife with that's so and so airline to so and so place 🙄 However, I do get the pleasure of RyanScare and TUI 738's flying over the house as they depart from the laughingly called Bournemouth International Airport (BOH) with its half a dozen or so flights to Europe each day! 😂
CL30
I think I'm right there with you guys on the age thing! Oh, to be 30 again....hahaha. I still have to get the Tracon series. I've played a lot of other ATC sims and love them. Tower 3D Pro is so unique as I've never found another sim that handles the ground control aspect, and I love it, especially having flown in and out of most of the US airports before. It's fun to see the other side of things.
