  1. Ben, So have I. My airlines.txt file is a custom file as well. I compare my file with the latest RT airlines.txt file and amend MINE to reflect any new operators. Also I have created a excell spreadsheet with a list of defunct airlines to cross reference to and update it as required. as best I can. Kev M
  2. @nowinyow The way I have got around this in the past is to assign a custom ICAO & IATA code to the international and cargo flights. Also for cargo flights I amend the call to add CARGO to the call to differentiate the flights. Things to watch :- 1. Ensure that the codes you issue are not already issued to other opeators. 2. The aircraft will probably be white but you might have to live with this. 3. You have to add the new codes to the airlines.txt file and to the terminal.txt file. Done carefully, it all works well. Kev M
  3. Thanks Gabor, I looked at the aircraft , airports file etc. & could not find anything different. I thought I might have missed something critical. I dont have LFPG or OMBD. Kev M
  4. @nyergesdesign Gabor, can you please advise if it was only the terminal file for LFPG or were there other changes as well and some idea what they were. It makes it easier to understanbd what the changes were and how it might affect custom schedules etc. Kev M
  5. Yeh I can't remember how many performance and gate changes I made in Twr 2011 to make some aircraft "fit" the airport runways and add gates as airports were modified in real life. Those were the good old days of being able to change almost everything to make it all work. I hope Feelthere is listening to us and gives us some parameter changing ability in the next version, or even get it right from the start!! I can live in hope.😊 Kev M
  6. I cant speak for Cargolux but as far as I know Cathay cargo goes to the Dubai/world centre (DWC) airport and not DXB (OMDB) airport, therefore not in schedule Kev M
  7. Quote The main issue I am left with is the lack of aircraft leaving a stand when they are not required As a result they are blocking a stand for a considerable time when they would either be moved to a Ramp or maintenance (just to get the removed from a Terminal)One example are the two morning British Airways A388 which are then moved until they are required again until the afternoonAs a result this blocks two Terminal gates, from 06:00 to 14:00 Unquote Both Tower 2011 & Twr 3D load many hrs, up to 8, in advance of the time selected. Do what most of us do & break your schedule up into blocks. Different custom schedulers vary how much they put into each schedule block. Look at the various custom schedules to see how each does it. For me I usually start the schedule about 15 mins before the selected hour & about 2 hrs after the selected time. e.g. for a 1000hr schedule my schedule would be from 0945 to 1159. The only trick is to make sure that you have a departure early in the time frame. The game starts with the first departure. This might explain why you have aircraft sitting at the terminal all day. Neither program has the facility to tow A/C off the stand into a holding area. That has been requested for the next version of Twr3D . Kev M
  8. Thanks Craig, I thought that we might hve been able to see the performance paramaters as part of a regular file. From what you sent above, the only time that you can see the details is if there is a problem that is grabbed in the log file. Kev m
  9. Bel @crbascott Craig, where do you find the performance data (landing length etc. in T3D? Kev M
  10. @Pedantic G & @crbascott I will move all the JST' intl flights to the intl terminal with apropriate changes to codes, schedule & term etc. & try them. I forgot that I had answered the other post. That was 2017, many brain cells ago. Kev M
  11. @hexzed I think it means that there is no heavy gates in that terminal That now makes sense. I might do what I have done before and give JST internationals a different ICAO & IATA codes. It means changing the terminal file but thatwill work as I have done it with American & United at SFO to get then intl flts to arr/dep from the intl terminal. @crbascott The "Airplane dropped, no international terminal" message appears when a departure is totally dropped from the schedule due to no available gates. The cause is either too much traffic (because of the game engine loading 8 hours of flights) and/or poor gate implementation by the airport developer leaving no places for planes/heavies to park. The sheduel that I was using was a custom schedule I made of 1 Hour, starting 15 Minutes before the hour and containg movements for the hour and the next hour . i.e. 1800 H is from 1745- 1959. Except for the JST flight there was only one other no free terminal flight. Therefore I think the problem was that there was no heavy gate at the terminal. I will investigate furhter. Thanks for your help guys Kev M
  12. Hi guys, Running YMML I heven't seen this message before. No Free terminal is normal but no International terminal is odd to me. Any ideas Extract from Output log.txt. 13. I had a similar problem (system misunderstood what I said.) a while ago after a new computer with a different realtek audio Manager. In frustration I was shouting at the screen to be understood. It turned out to be that the mic input volume was too High. When I spoke softly, whoa, it understood every command. This might be your problem, Try speaking softly and see if this fixes it or reduce the mic input level. Kev M
  14. One I experiences especially at YMML where there are heavy departures from Rwy 34 & others from 27, is after departing one from 34, you want the 27 departure to get going quickly, I accidently call XXX rwy 34, then stop & realise I should have said Rwy 27, There is no way that I know of to cancel the RWY 34 call and correct it to rwy 27. The aircraft then decided to taxi to 34 . Sometimes if you call XXX rwy 27 it will stay there but if something is on final on 27 it has to go around. The fix would be as done by ATC in Aus. XXX Rwy 34 correction Rwy 27 cleared for T/O. Also some plain language call would be good as quite often in Aus, the conversation can get fairly casual if the traffic flow is low. Instructions like taxi to the terminal using any way you like would add some interest to the game. Kev M
  15. @SAMedic I have had to contact bmtmicro several times using cservice@bmtmicro.com. Even on Sunday Night here in Aus (Saturday night late in US) and have received replies in a matter of minutes to a couple of hours max. They seem to be available at all hours and will get back to you fairly quickly. Give then the ProductID number and the product password that they gave you when you downloaded the product. They will reset your password then, unless there is further problems outside of their control. Kev M
  16. Thanks Gary, It was good in the old days of Tower 2011, when we could adjust the aircraft landing speed & length etc. Perhaps in Tower 3D Mk2 we might be able to tweak some aircraft performance parameters. Kev
  17. Mel YMML I shot a REX off YMML Rwy 16 from Taxiway E. When it started to move I cleared an A/C on 27 for t/o. It passed the 16/27 intersection before the REX was airborne. Got pinged 500 pts for that. Also the long landers are a problem on 16. A 788 & 789 take further to land than an A380. Very strange Kev
  18. Here is 2 airlines.txt call sign changes that makes the pronunciation better 1 QANTAS- pronounced CANTAS in tower, add a U to the call sign i.e QUANTAS. It then pronounces it correctly 2 TIGGOZ (YMML) - pronounced T I G G (each letter spelled out) OZ in tower, Change to TIGOZ. It calls it TIG (as in tiger) OZ but it is better than the original way. Try it. Kev M
  19. @Jason-118 , @blacklabelbraai & any others interested. I have noticed the hesitations as well and assumed it was looking for particular files and checking them for syntax etc. I realise the log file does give the reason for the stoppage but having a quick reference might also help finding the problem quickly. When I get time I will load an airport such as KMCO or KMEM and make some dodgy files one at a time and try to see which one it stalls at and at what %. From there I can start a t/shooting table to kick off with. It might be a bit of fun . Kev M
  20. I have done some major work on YMML schedule, terminal files etc. When tested I got the dreaded 9% stop on startup. I T/S it to a problem with the airplanes file. All fixed there!! Having read many posts about crashes, startup problems etc. it appears that the critical startup areas are 9%, 63% around 78% from memory. I know that the 63% stop is a problem with the schedule file. So what am I on about??? As there are a large number of users developing schedules and altering the airport files etc. and they have come upon loading problems due to wrong syntax in one of the files. I know I have. I am suggesting that a troubleshooting table be devised identifying the startup problems, what they indicate, and some fixes. This could be expanded to include crash problems as well. The format might be: where the load stops, %, reason, items to look for. Perhaps in xls file. This could be a sticky in with the current sheet, new schedules etc. as a reference post. I am happy to kick it off, but need info from the gurus like Hexhead, PedanticG and others to what to include in the troubleshooting chart. Perhaps FeelThere Vic or Ariel might like to contribute. It might stop some repeated posts that they have to investigate and reply to. Wide open for ideas. Whether good or bad. Kev M
  21. Scoob, your right so technically we should remove all 7M series aircraft from all the schedules until they fly again. LOL 😊 Kev
  22. Gavin Thnks mate, well done getting this out so quickly. Kev M
  23. A couple of commands need adding to YMML to make the speech more Aussie authentic: First contact quite often is started with good day, pronounced gday Hand offs especially in Brisbane sometimes end with "seeya" Also late at night when the traffic is low, sometime the taxi command is "XXX gate XX via which ever way you want to go" or similar. Looking forward to Mel (YMML).😊 Kev M
  24. @ Eligrim Thanks, It was turned on by default. On the old machine it used to come up and annoy me something chronic. This one does not give the sticky keys warning on the screen. I will try it and get back if any more problems. I checked the notification s part for sticky keys and it was turned off. The reason why I did not see the sticky keys message Why didn't I think of that?????? Kev M
  25. Hello Razvanrudy Welcome to the forum. There is heaps of info on the forum but sometimes it takes some searching to find it.. For EGKK (Gatwick) Ben is right 08L/26R is only used as he says. Normally it is a taxiway as the game uses it. This is normal. If you scratch through the forum on EGKK you will find lots of operational information and links to various information pages showing how the airport operates. It is a good airport to operate but remember not to use 08L/26R in normal ops. Also it's a good idea to sign your posts with a name. Over time it makes it a little more personal. Enjoy Kev M
