If i'm not mistaken the host gets the points, except when there is penalty and the person causing the penalty gets the deduction. But in the scheme of things, the points really don't matter1. If there were some sort of career mode advancement based on points, they might make a difference but now they are just there for our egos. 1 The exception to this is for challenges on the Tower_MP server.

This request is an oldie but a goody. But it will have to wait for the next version as development on the current version stopped several months ago. There is a workaround. Let's say for example, taxiway B is a taxiway past 1L. You can say "hold short of taxiway B", instead of the two cross runway commands, and the plane will cross the two runways and stop prior to B.

As @hexzedsaid, you can't do anything to fix gate issues. But by posting the log you've educated the developers and they can provide a fix if/when they work on a service pack for EDDM.
-
@BigBugHmb, the following is earlier in the log where the sim is loading gates. In this log, RAA307 is at the gate defined as T1_31. 11:45:36 alt: 0 takeoff: False/False/-2 OWNER_GROUND t: T1_31 * RAA307 => STATE CHANGE from STATE_NONE to STATE_WAITING 11:45:36 alt: 0 takeoff: False/False/-2 OWNER_GROUND t: T1_31 * RAA307 => Init airplane type: Default code: DEFAULT category: II class: NARROW_BODY_JET CREATE SERVER AIRPLANE: RAA307
-
I can guarantee you that RAA307 appears earlier in the log (assuming you are looking at the output_log.txt file in the tower3d_data folder).
-
1. Search for RAA307 in the logfile and there should be one or more entries that indicate the gate. 2. I see more pushback errors when people give taxi instructions as part of the pushback command. It may not make any difference, but I'd recommend trying it without the VIA.

There's a 3+ year old tutorial featuring CYVR that might be of interest. https://forum.simflight.com/topic/78683-tracon-2012-how-to-create-a-sector-lets-go-for-cyvr-vancouver-international-airport

I agree, from a layout and ops perspective KSFO had the potential to be an incredible airport. But with the current limitations and flaws of the sim, it has become frustrating trying to control. On the Tower_MP multiplayer server, I built a one hour challenge schedule that replicates real life. The objective is to take-off and land planes using the same runways in real life and at the same time as real life. Unfortunately the departures can't leave because of the slow taxiing arrivals. Oh well, maybe in next version. 😉
-
That mystery has already been solved - "no because I do not have tower 3d pro I have tower 3d"
-
My two cents: KSFO is basically impossible to run using the realistic setup of departures on the 1s and arrivals on the 28s. KLAS is pretty good. Only gripe is too many commercial arrivals on the 1s/19s. In multiplayer, it's one of the few airports where tower is more challenging than ground. KPHX can be really fun during busy periods. Primarily an AAL and SWA hub, so traffic variety is not its strongpoint. KMEM is the weakest of the bunch. Unless you have a FedEx fetish, there's not much here to excite you. My ranking would be KLAS, KPHX, KSFO, KMEM. For each of these airports, I'd definitely recommend using a custom schedule. A list can be found here: https://forum.simflight.com/topic/85784-custom-schedules-list-real-life-airport-timetables/

Yep, typing the commands is a definite clue pointing to Tower 3D. Plus a few posts up he mentions he has Tower 3D. But at no point did he mention voice recognition or voice commands. He specifically mentioned pilots reading back commands. That's why when you said "Tower 3D does not support voice commands" I tried to clarify the issue, but apparently failed. Nevertheless, the best advise thus far is running the sim in admin mode. Hopefully that'll get things working.
-
Another issue is that you won't have any models for the older aircraft. They'll all just look like the default dummy models included in the base game. A lot of work for little payoff, in my opinion. Unless just hearing old callsigns is what you're looking for.
-
Theoretically, it should. At one point there were issues with the installer, but hopefully they've been worked out.
-
I believe the issue is in regards to pilot voices and not voice recognition.
-
The color scheme and voice recognition engine are different but from a gameplay perspective the versions are the same.
-
Pro is definitely a step forward. But just like in life sometimes there's a step backward or two. I'm sure we'll all have fun addressing these when wishlist time comes around. Nevertheless, I'm excited about the next version and can't wait to see what FeelThere has up their sleeve as they take the Tower series to the next level.

Community Project - New Livery Requests for RC KJFK
crbascott replied to crbascott's topic in ATC Simulators
Thanks everyone for the requests. Attached is a consolidated list based on the posts above, which has also been sent to @nyergesdesign. We've done our part. Now it is up to Gabor and team to decide what liveries get added and in what timeframe. RC_KJFK_Livery_Requests_consolidated.xlsx -
I need to change my avatar, I feel like I am talking to myself. 😉
-
No you didn't. You just saw a guy take an existing command and change a parameter.
-
No, you can't just make up new commands - the game wouldn't recognize them. If you could we would have done it 20 months ago.
-
I believe it can work with voice, but it would take an update to tower3d.rec. I guess we'll see if this gets updated with the release of EGKK,
-
You're a little more tolerant than me - I can live with it because I have no other choice. Sadly though, it negatively impacts some airports so much (KSFO and apparently EDDS are prime examples) that it now has to be considered when deciding on any (if any) future purchases. FT has been responding next version to "general" issues for well over a year and drew the line in the sand with the last official update of Pro in March. Food for thought, you can only dangle a carrot in front of someone for so long. ☺️🥕☹️

Tower!3D Pro - Repetitive Messages in Log File
crbascott replied to crbascott's topic in ATC Simulators
Recently, @pete_agreatguy posted a log (https://forum.simflight.com/topic/86134-t3d-kphx-phoenix-issues/) and these repetitive messages are also there. This is too coincidental to be a user issue, the issue is definitely on FeelThere's end. I think this is happening on the Tower menu when it attempts to build the airport list - of ones you have and don't have. Just a guess on my part. -
I've noticed recently a bunch of repetitive messages in the log file. Below is an example of the repetitive message. This block repeated over 145 times. <html> <head> <META NAME="robots" CONTENT="noindex, nofollow"> <script src="/_Incapsula_Resource?SWJIYLWA=5074a744e2e3d891814e9a2dace20bd4,719d34d31c8e3a6e6fffd425f7e032f3"> </script> <body> </body></html> A log file is attached. In this session all I did was open the app and then immediately close it. With the internet disabled, the above message does not appear. output_log.txt
