I have seen the San Diego spin but it doesn't do anything to cause issues. I can have planes exit B9 & B10 - could be something in your speech. And I can also have GA planes exit at C5 & C6 (depending on the plane type of course). If you'll post logs/screenshots maybe you can get some support from the forum/FeelThere.

Tower! 2011 - Help needed for KPHX - Phoenix FDX
crbascott replied to John Coles's topic in ATC Simulators
The reply indicates the sim couldn't calculate a route for whatever reason (illogical or airport issue). You''ll have to try something else. -

Tower! 2011 - PHNL - Anyone have BUSIER schedules....
crbascott replied to John Coles's topic in ATC Simulators
Since Tower!2011 is a 7 year old sim, custom schedule creation activity has moved to Tower!3D Pro. You may want to consider using Dick Parker's schedule creator. The data is old but it satisfies the "busier" request. http://forum.simflight.com/topic/76191-tower-schedule-creator-24-v1-released-includes-cyyz/ -
The 2011 manual provides a few more details on the requirements of the command. See below. CHANGE TO RUNWAY XX must be followed by CLEARED TO LAND Aircraft will change approach and land on the assigned runway. The runway change will be noted on the flight's strip on the Strip screen. Syntax notes: The runway change can only be a parallel runway with a centerline no greater than 1000 feet from the runway assigned by the approach controller. For example: aircraft assigned by approach control to runway 7L at KLAX can only have their landing runway changed to runway 7R. Aircraft assigned to KLAX runway 7L cannot be assigned to runways 6L or 6R. In @D-FENS example he mentions 6R/6L which theoretically should work. But, as always, logs and screenshots are needed. Personally, I'm not sure if I tried this command on runways within 1000ft of each other. Craig

No, not the wind gauge ... anything but the wind gauge! SK, oh SK, where are you? :)

That's not exactly true. The voice commands that can be "added" are already available via mouse click or typed in. We can't add anything that the sim isn't already programmed to handle.

T3D Pro - Shortened Intersection Take Off - Voice Clearance Problem
crbascott replied to jumpjet777's topic in ATC Simulators
Out of the box, #1 is not a valid voice command. Check out the manual here. However, It is possible to add some "custom" commands to the tower.rec file (see below). Make sure to back up the original in case your edits cause problems and backup your revised version as it will get overwritten when the game engine is updated. #airplane1; PUSHBACK APPROVED EXPECT RUNWAY ;#runway1; AT ;#taxiway1 #airplane1; PUSHBACK APPROVED EXPECT RUNWAY ;#runway1; AT ;#taxiway1; TAXI VIA ;#taxiway2;#taxiway3;#taxiway4;#taxiway5;#taxiway6 #airplane1; PUSHBACK APPROVED EXPECT RUNWAY ;#runway1; TAXI VIA ;#taxiway1;#taxiway2;#taxiway3;#taxiway4;#taxiway5;#taxiway6 Craig -
The "you" you are referencing is Nyerges Design. Your post needs to be addressed accordingly.

If I might add a thought or two. :) All ATCSuite products The entire suite of products should fully integrate with each other : Tower - Tracon - ARTCC Customizable weather and ability to download current weather Specifically to Tracon Allow custom GA traffic Update and add commands (expect runway on initial contact, traffic advisories, specific waypoint vs outer marker, etc.) To see realistic traffic in SP mode, have AI control departures when user is controlling arrivals and vice versa In MP mode, ability to breakdown controller positions (east/west/north/south, feeder/final) Hand-off to specific vs generic facility Just a few things off the top of my head. Thanks, Craig

The file you are looking for is sidstar_cfg.txt in the databases folder. Using the first two entries as an example, any plane inbound for LAX arriving from NTAA and YSSY will use the BUFIE1 arrival. While arrivals from KDAL will use the DOWNE4. This file is used regardless of wind direction. As @mc16v mentioned you'll probably want to create multiple versions of this file - potentially for each sector and flow/runway config. BUFIE1 = NTAA:KLAX YSSY:KLAX DOWNE4 = KDAL:KLAX FYI - I'm not seeing and DPs (SIDs) in the default RT file, but the same thing can apply to them if desired.

If I'm not mistaken, predominant wind direction was an issue at a couple of airports after they released. I remember LAX specifically. Agreed, hopefully this can get fixed in the LAS SP and that more elaborate wind options will be part of the next version. SK - When I think of wind, hot air, etc. ... I definitely think of you. :) PS - another check is in the mail. :)

You should be able to post pictures on the forum - i do all the time.

I don't think modifying the texpack files is an option - not sure if/how it would work and probably against the EULA.
-
You can make it up to date with the airplane editor.
-
If you use Scheduled Departures from FlightAware the majority of flights are scheduled at :00, :05, :10, :15, etc. You'll want to modify these times for a more realistic schedule for Pro.

The Airport Selection box lists all the airports for a sector. Clicking an airport in the drop down list allows one to select or deselect active runways. In your example above it appears you had selected runways at both RNM and SAN. If you just want to control RMN, you would need to deselect the runways for SAN.

Custom (REAL) Traffic #6 -- KBOS ver. 1.0 -- Intro 2018
crbascott replied to ATControl -- Joe's topic in ATC Simulators
Hey Andrew, If you are familiar with my schedules, I created snippets. Joe is now doing something similar but calling them power hours. Hey, it's all about the marketing! ;) To lessen the amount of "no free terminal" issues and anything causing a lack of gate availability, I have long (since Tower!2011) been a proponent of using snippets/power hours (i.e., non-full schedule files). I, and now Joe, provide the snippets/power hours for only the peak time periods. If one wants to control during non-peak time periods, they will need to use the full schedule file. Joe saying the full schedule won't work during peak hours is a little confusing. It's probably semantics, but it's probably more of a case of flights getting dropped versus actually not working. #2 is not a bug. The aircraft are stopping at the 4L-APCH hold line. You can see it on the airport diagram or if you zoom in on a satellite image. Regarding #1, that photobucket site does nothing but spam with pop-ups and ads. Plus the images are too small. You should be able to post the image on the forum.

Thanks Vic. You could have just said, "read the manual dummy"! I read the section about the editors and it makes a little more sense on what the sim does regarding airport traffic. Here's my summary, please correct me if I am wrong. The gaandlocaltraffic.txt file is not used by Tracon!2012 and Tracon!2012 SE. Airport traffic (from GA to wide body) can be randomly generated based on airport specific parameters (GENERATE:TRUE) If GENERATE:TRUE is set, then the sim will generate traffic based on aircraft type and planes per hour parameters for that airport. If GENERATE:TRUE is not set, the sim will use the schedule.txt file for traffic for that airport. Out of the box For the LAX sector, KLAX and KLGB use the schedule file while the traffic for the other airports is generated. For the LAS sector, only KLAS uses the schedule file. For the MIA sector, KMIA and KFLL use the schedule file. Thanks, Craig

You can help be that someone by just not whining about it, but by providing some details (log, dump files, etc.). Most users don't have crashes "all the time", so it is more than likely something specific to your setup or system.
-
There is no announcement page. The only advice I can give you is to check the forums and re-download RT when a new airport is released.
-
Yes and Yes. Your second question intriuges me. How does CHANGE TO RUNWAY differ from ENTER FINAL RUNWAY? Thanks! PS - What obstacles could be on a runway in this sim?
-
Nice answer - ever consider a career in politics? ;)
-
No. This is more of a conceptual question of how the game works. Randomly generated traffic versus file input? Thanks!
